    recommended beginner brands

    Hi Snus On community,
I've been wanting to try snus and wanted a few suggestions of some good beginner brands. Something with a medium amount, but not too much, of nicotine and a pleasant taste. What are a few types I might enjoy.
    I appreciate the help

loose I would say pima flint or goat rape, portions, general whites are middle of the road , just avoid the extremes till you work your way up.

General White is a good recommendation, but the salt blast might blow your mind at first. But most any snus flavor will probably take a little getting used to. I'd also recommend Ettan Portion if you want something more straight tobacco flavored, its a classic flavor. Grovsnus is a similar straight tobacco flavor but I find it a little more sweet. For a mild flavor with sweet fruity undertones its hard to go wrong with Roda Lacket.

If you're looking in a more of a mint direction, I've recently discovered Odens Cold and love it. General Mint is another good mint.

Just try a bunch of different brands without buying in bulk, because you never know what you may hate or love. Similarly, as you start out you'll find your flavor preference changes. I just purchased in piecemeal for about a year before I started buying rolls. I eventually settled on General OP as my go to regular strength snus, and General Strong White as my strong strength snus. But even after a few years I still haven't tried everything that is out there.

Think of snus flavors as more like cigars than cigarettes. With cigarettes you pick a brand and pretty much stick with it (probably because your brain grows accustomed to that particular chemical cocktail and how it delivers your nicotine). With cigars you might have a few favorites, but half the fun is in trying to new types, and keeping a stash of dozens of different varieties.

I have fond memories of my first snus...

Oden's (pre-GN) Lakrits. It nursed me through a nasty cold, and it tasted fantastic.

General is very salty if you love salt go for it. But i suggest jakkobson or oden's of your choosing...those arent overload salty.

I'd say General is pretty good. But tbh I recommend that you try many different brands and many different flavors to find the ones you like the most.

Anything from the goteborg line, anything from ettan as well Both quality snus's! Id recommend goteborg lingon as it tastes divine!

Ettan WP or OP for a lovely tobacco taste and throw in a few cans of Los with your order to try it out, I didnt think id like it at first but I find the flavours tend to be a little more intense and you can control your nicotine a little better (little los for less nic and more los for a larger nic hit)
