    How is Northerner these days?

I am coming back to the US in a couple of weeks and my snus supply is running dangerously low. I remember Northerner having some huge issues with their website and orders a few months back.

Have they straightened all of that out yet, or should I start looking for other options?

After almost 6 months of completely disastrous delivery times, unreliable stock levels and non-existant customer service - Northerner have appointed a new PR guy who started posting here a couple of days ago.

This new guy says that the last 6 months was due to a glitch in the e-commerce software - if that is the case, and there were no other problems at the company then it is truly the most awful e-commerce glitch in history! I mean - to have messed up the delivery of thousands of orders, and stopped them from receiving the hundreds of emails of complaint and stopped them noticing the hundreds of posts here on the biggest snus forum in the world completely panning their god-awful service - that has to be some kind of computer error, right? Did I mention the withdrawal of the bonus points scheme they had going before for customer loyalty with no notice so we all lost our points without the chance to cash them in?

This new Northerner guy reckons that it's all OK now and they're really sorry (for that read they want our custom back). But he doesn't suggest that loyal customers of Northerner will get any kind of compensation for the lost bonus points and his explanation is absolutely pathetic given the length of time this has gone on.

There are some on this forum that would say forgive and forget - give the guys a chance.

I am not one of those people - while the same people remain in charge of Northerner then these people are the kind that can screw us over for 6 moths at a time. Snus users are mainly addicts - and we use the online services to get hold of the thing we need for that addiction. If they take advantage of us and play us for fools then we shouldn't use them - we need services we can trust, that say what they have in stock and mean it, that deliver when they say they will and that deal with customer service complaints in a timely fashion. Northerner have failed on every single point I have made consistently.

So my advice would be that if you live in the US then you have many alternative companies you can use just as easily with a proven track record of reliability and good customer service (BuySnus.com would be my choice) - in fact to use Northerner at the moment would be just a gamble that now they are telling the truth when in the recent past they haven't.

    Rant over

Thanks man, I am right with you on that. I will probably stick with buysnus then. I'd pay a premium to know my order is right and arriving on time, than gamble on a company that still appears sketchy.

I've been using them lately, and I just ordered several cans from Northerner this morning before work. Their customer support seems to be back on track and my last few orders shipped out in a reasonable amount of time.
