    What happened to Pioneer?

Anyone else notice that Pioneer is gone?

If you mean via Northerner then what do you expect? Reliability?

Hopefully it will make a return but this doesn't look good.

First I can't get Onyx and now this. I was just about to order a roll or maybe two, and it's gone. Unbelievable. It was the best los of the many brands I've tried.

Chad (snubie) was able to contact the owner last year during the flavor kerfuffle... perhaps he could reach out to him again?

Chad already did. Apparently, there is some kind of snag with the FDA but they expect it to be resolved soon.

I'd like to try some Pioneer. What would you guys say its flavor is similar to? I don't mean to derail

I've never tried anything similar: super-fine dark clay; lx insists it's unflavored though I taste subtle hints of bergamot; I think lx also mentioned that it's either flue- or fire-cured; low sodium. It's in its own class, really.

I think what throws me off is it isn't like any other bergamot snus. All the others I've had have a noticeable citrus character. They're tangy and tart. I don't get that at all from Pioneer, and would have attributed the flavor to the tobacco cultivation. Since everyone's insisted, I can taste the bergamot, but I think the flavor aligns more closely with something like Ettan rather than General.

AFAIK, it's air cured tobacco. It's made just like Swedish snus, but in Laos.

I burned myself out on Pioneer awhile back but now that it could possibly be gone a big craving is hitting!!! It was very original tasting and the most clay like out of any los I have ever tried.

Correct. It's a paperwork thing that will be worked out soon.
