    Why do minis cost more??

Wondering if anyone can tell me why a 10g can of minis cost more than a can of normal portions or loose snus. I would assume something about manufacturing a special size but really have no clue. Any thoughts?

Because people will pay it :^D

I don't know how they're priced now, I never look at minis, but they used to be the same price as regular portions.

If they were the same price as regulars, it could be justified as paying by the piece, and not weight. If they cost more, it's cause that's what the market will tolerate. Also, I'm sure some of the money is in the process, which would be the same regardless of size. Stuffing and sealing a bag is more work than dumping loose tobacco in a tin.

THey have to stop production of regular portions, reset the production line and make the mini's. Which sell less than regular portions, so I'm sure it's also partially due to lost production of regular portions, etc. This is EXACTLY why I don't distribute them in the US. I cannot justify paying more for less.

I miss Granit mini’s almost as much as Gellivare.

Not as many people want them so the demand is lower making the price higher for the few that want such a product.
