For those who aren't already a member of the awesome General's Club, I just got an e-mail from them that really piqued my interest -- in a few words, if you want to snag a free USB mini-fridge for your snus (around a $35 value) to keep your snus chilled while you browse the forums, read on!
General's Club is a simple online fan club for General/Swedish Match snus. You sign up with your e-mail address and mailing address, and for doing so, you get the occasional e-mail of coupons/cool offers, and an awesome "welcome to the club" care package in the mail. Mine contained a leather-bound journal, and a stack of coupons that actually don't suck, such as $5.00 off one can, buy-one-get-one, etc.
They do a referral program, where if you refer X number of friends, you "rank up" and receive a gift in the mail. This is where that e-mail I got comes into play; they just updated their rewards for referring friends. What's the gift for referring just ONE friend, you ask? The aforementioned USB mini-fridge! To sweeten the pot, if you refer three friends, you get a bluetooth stereo speaker. If you refer TEN friends (quite the daunting task,) you get a GoPro Hero 3 HD camera.
So, I was thinking we start a "chain mail" kinda thing, to get us all a sweet USB mini-fridge!
If you're interested, read on! The rules are simple.
1.) Reply to this thread, saying something along the lines of "I'm taking place!"
2.) Send a private message to the poster above you (the first one will be to me! Muhaha) containing ONLY your first name and e-mail address.
3.) The poster above you will send you an invitation to join the General's Club via e-mail.
4.) Follow the link to sign up -- be aware that you must use a real name and address! (It's where they'll send your welcome gifts and USB mini-fridge!)
5.) Can't think of rule #5... that must be it!
Let's get some mini-fridges!
DISCLAIMER!!!!!
Above all, if this idea takes off, let's please keep it honest and not try anything sneaky.
If you aren't willing to divulge your real name and mailing address to Swedish Match, please do not take part.
If you're skeptical about doing so, rest assured that I'm awfully sure that they don't mistreat your personal information. I've been a member of the club for about 4 months, and have only received one thing in the mail from them (the welcome gift.) I've also only received about one e-mail a month. I used my school e-mail address, and I have NOT gotten any other sort of non-school related e-mail since signing up, so they don't sell your e-mail address to spammers.
