I have a confession to make...

    Dear fellow snusers:

As I became unemployed about 4 months ago and my snus supply ran out in early December, 2012, I have done the unthinkable. Yes, I turned to dip. *gasp*

Kodiak Wintergreen, to be precise. *another gasp*

Oh, how I miss my beloved General Ekstra Sterk los. The familiar two-clicks on my 4ml stainless Icetool always got the job done. My motivation was to save money, however in the long run my switch has done the opposite. Before, it took me 5-6 days to get through a can of General. Now, I am burning through 2 cans of Kodiak per week.

The shame has been unbearable. So much so, I have avoided this community that I love so dearly. If there is any bright side to this, it is that I did not go back to smoking cigarettes.

I seek forgiveness, and am announcing my return with an order of 2 rolls of General ES los and fresh lubrication of my recently dusted-off Icetool, which all but seized up on me.

    Thank you all,

    LincolnSnuff

Speak for yourself. Wintergreen? Wintergreen!!?? I can understand switching to something that tastes good, and is more locally available, but wintergreen's like switching to diet snozzberry Faygo as a replacement for Guinness :^D

Welcome back. As far as I know, there are a lot of dipper's on here anyway. In fact, I think that some of the members have used tobacco in every conceivable way. I think I could deal with leaf chew if I ran out of snus. You know the chew in the pouch that you put in your cheeks.

I all but forgot that I started this thread! lol

Kodiak wintergreen happens to be the hardest hitting dip on the market which is why I choose it. I read somewhere that it has a wicked nicotine delivery system, not here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodiak_tobacco

Wintergreen in dip format tastes much, much different than wintergreen snus. It's like eating those Lifesaver Wint-O-Green candies/mints. I suppose the sugar content makes all the difference.

Thanks for the welcome back everyone. The General ES los did hit me pretty hard with the first prilla. The dip was a fast but quickly fading nic hit, while as we all know, the ES los provides a slow yet sustained delivery. Oh, so gratifying!

                      Welcome back bud!

I'm sorry to hear about your rough circumstances. Things will get better soon.

Have you checked the local Chevrons in the area? The stations here carry General snus. I've noticed that Shell is beginning to stock General at their stations as well.

No GES, but it sure beats dip!

............or "faux snus"; i.e. American Camel & Marlboro.

Thank you for your kind words. I've been preoccupied with some other personal matters so I haven't been too focused on the job hunt. That is about to change soon. I'm sure something will turn up.

There are a few local tobacconists that carry General in my area. The problem is they only have portions and I'm a loose lover. I think someone on this forum compared portion snus to having sex with a condom on, it's just not as good as the alternative! Thanks for the tip though.
