    Feeling drunk off snus...

My first couple snus portion ever was around 1-2 years ago. I felt pretty drunk off of it. With habitual snus use, I rarely get there anymore

But I decided to pack a portion right before a long run. I ran for about 1 hour 30 minutes as opposed to my typical 45 minute run. I kept going for a long time. Very good overall workout. I stopped by some parks and whatnot to do some pullups

One of the best workouts I have had in a while I must say...

Anyways, I came home and sat down to cool down a little. I realized I felt drunk. I just wanted to share that anecdote. Snusing while working out seems to seriously potentiate snus. It also made my workout much longer and powerful

That being said, my heart was pounding so I don't know how healthy this habit would be if I did it daily...

Nicotine constricts your capillaries, which raises your blood pressure. When you get the heart beating even faster through exercise, you're causing physical damage to the capillary walls as the blood jets through there. Usually your body dilates your capillaries when you exercise, so although it seems like you can exert yourself for longer, that's just nicotine-triggered dopamine blocking the pain and you're probably not doing yourself any favors in the long run (no pun intended).

I make sure that I don't take snus roughly half an hour before a run. I'm no expert but it just doesn't seem right to have nicotine playing with your heart before you get it working at a high level.

I make it my purpose in life never to exert myself. Running is the last thing my body will let me do anyway.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Snus is one of the strongest tobacco products.. I cut my prillas down from 2 clicks to 3/4 clicks because it's so strong

              Damn

I must say that was a very good explanation. In that case, the damage has already been done to my body. So for future use I will not do this

Wow. I was going to make this my monday-morning routine hahah

you have any links/info to detail this? Or just logic? Either way, thats a very valid point, I just wanna look into it further

Very recent article from Brad Rodu

                http://rodutobaccotruth.blogspot.com...endurance.html

Okay, I really don't work out, but then I do walk or bike just about everywhere in the city I live in. I wouldn't even think of taking a bike ride somewhere without a fresh snus to help me along. At my age I need all the pain blockers I can get.

+1 to this. I try not to do anything that will ruin my nice doughey physique.

You count your snus in clicks? clicks of what?

Thing is I typed that while waiting for my Primanti Bros. cheese combo sandwich, so I'm not exactly doing my body any favors either. :P
