What would you do if snus disappeared forever?

I know that friends in the EU and Canada have a hard time getting snus but let's say snus became illegal everywhere and because of this all snus companies went out of business. I know some of you have a surplus of snus and would be good for a year to come if not more but lets say you have already run out and cannot get anymore. I ask this because I'm curious how many of you would start smoking or dipping again. Also don't say "umm I wouldn't use snus anymore" because I know a few of you smart asses are thinking it . Personally if snus disappeared or became so expensive I couldn't afford it (barely can now) I would probably start using nicotine lozenges again. I don't like dip and do not want to start smoking again but I can't imagine myself completely without nicotine as I've been addicted half my life. Just something to think about.

Well, if snus were to be gone, I'd probably be vaping and snuffing, and yes, probably having an occasional cigarette a little more often. This would suck though. I love my snus.

Swedish Match is way too big. They're not coca cola or anything but Huge corporation with way to much money to be made or loss. It will never go away in the US. Pretty sure that's why they are pushing so hard to gain a foothold here. It's a huge untapped market first of all. Second it is very easy to manipulate our government with money. I'm not worried about it going away I'm more worried that it will fall into all the same ol traps and become cost prohibitive.... I like it just the way it was three years ago,..,.. thank you very much.....

I agree Blue and don't think it's going anywhere just using a hypothetical situation because I was thinking about what I would have done if I didn't discover snus.

I'll keep it short...I'd be back to Marlboro menthol in no time if snus disappeared.

I'd look for the false back or trap door..........When things dissapear there is always a false back or trap door involved....
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I would try to rule wisely! Seeds and dirt man......all you need is seeds and dirt. This will be my fourth growing year, I have about ten dollars invested in seed, and I have masses of tobacco stored everywhere. Fun hobby that generates massive amounts of leaf.

This. I'd grow my own. For purchased options, I'd use nasal snuff, and the occasional tin of Copenhagen.

After losing Gellivare and now Pioneer, I am getting used to it.

I would use nasal snuff and try to grow my own tobacco on the balcony to produce homemade snus after the first season.

But I really do not think this will happen. Black market is probably much more probable option. AFAIK, there is not a country on Earth where making heroin is legal, and you can still buy the drug all over the planet.

I would probably go back to smoking in an instant. Snus is the superior smokeless alternative for me. The others (nasal snuff, vaping etc.) are not as satisfying.

What Whalen said ... I am nearly there with equipment, recipes and growing techniques to be totally self-sufficient if needs be.

With the products we have readily available to me here in the UK - I feel like the situation has already happened here. We can get V2, Odens and Jakobssons at the moment through a number of web-shops who take us for mugs and use the fact that we are lucky to get anything at all to provide the most awful customer service of any thing I've ever bought off the net (excluding odenssnus.com who have always been prompt and thoroughly professional)

The problem is ... I want SM and Skruf really ... that for me is the quality stuff. I don't like V2 and Jakobssons full stop. And there is only one Odens product I do like on a daily basis. If it wasn't for PP then I'd be screwed!

When faced with that prospect or a good fun hobby activity that doesn't take up too much time and provides me with almost-free, organic, personally flavoured snus ... I can see where I'm headed.

But if I had the ultimate choice ... I would be buying GES from my local shop.

Sometimes wrong and sometimes right .... but ALWAYS certain!!!
