Saimn indeed is a vendor, a very reliable one as far as I can tell from postings by the 2 or 3 people on German smokeless-forums, who use Makla. He mostly acts correctly in forums, but sometimes he just behaves like an ordinary spammer.

        Cheers!

          Oh my........
I just got some of this Makla stuff. It's in little metal cans, 20g. It's very odd. The grind and moisture is like loose snus. So, I hand baked a little pris, noticed some stemy parts in it. Whew, it burned, maybe it had menthol, or battery acid, I don't know. Made my lip hurt, in fact, it still hurts. After a few minutes.... whew, this is like ultra mega stark. I held up and waited it out. It wasn't bad, but I don't know if it was a stemy part, battery acid, or high amount of fiberglass, but it hurt my lip, and still does. I'll try more tomorrow. As for what it tastes like? I don't know. Maybe I'll think of some words tomorrow.

Most of the Algerians round my way wrap a small portion in a rizla paper, it saves the gums a bit, also people are using a really small portion size. The composition is water, tobacco and mystery ingredients, I am guessing that being manufactured in Belgium the mystery ingredient isn't battery acid. There is a metallic taste to all the varieties due to some kind of maturation in a ferrous container. The green and red have a toned down metallic taste but the silver Ifrikia has the full on 'battery acid' taste. The red and green have some sweetness to them also.

There are Afghan varieties of this stuff, which my local shopkeeper tells me are 'organic' and 'not like that belgian shit.' I have tried the brand AK, it comes in a slightly larger tin, it tastes much the same as Makla.

In my neighborhood, someone has been importing Pakistani black snuff and recently I have been seeing more people using this than the Makla, partly due to being half the price I guess. This stuff is like a block of putty and makes for a very, easy on the gums, experience. The nic hit for this stuff is comparable to the Makla, if a bit more tame. The flavor is reminiscent of, low grade hashish. I have no idea what the ingredients of this stuff is.

Yes, when I did 1 can, I had to make a small pellet, over ~0.9g and I would puke in 20 minutes(didn't, was close to however).

I got mine from a very nice person in London.

It's very unique and hits very hard, but then tones down.
I just did some with morning coffee.

The red Belgian type. I don't really get any "flavor".
It's good for a mega nic hit.

I think it was a stem sticking me the first time, as this time, it's not hurting. It does, also burn quite a bit when you 1st put it in.

Remember when Toque was having the idea of making snus? I had the idea that Toque could make Makla. It's very similar to loose snus, is legally available in the EU, and it would be something I think snusers would be interested in, in the USA and elsewhere. I sent Toque 2 PMs but I guess he's been too busy. Maybe he thinks it's a bad idea, maybe it is a bad idea? But it seems this would be the perfect angle for them, and I think it would have some consumer interest. Any comments? For those that don't know, Makla is like a very strong loose snus, comes in little metal tins, and does not require refrigeration.

Does anyone know what the www.snusworld.com site means when it says 5 doses of 20g. I have to assume it means 5 20g cans per order.

I think some day when I have extra money I may try this. It would be $7 a can if I am reading it right but still would be fun to try.

To bad you can't order one can of each. I would much prefer to do that.

I wouldn't mind trying one can of this stuff but can't work up to buying 5 cans without knowing WTF I'm getting myself into. Lol
