pouches vs loose

obviously most of you probably use loose or else you wouldn't own icetools...

but i'm wondering how much of a difference there is between, say, general loose and general pouches. or if its the same exact snus, and people just prefer one or the other?

i always use General lös, but sometimes I buy pouches when I am doing sports. I always call it sport snus :lol:

I use løssnus because if I bake it properly, it doesn't "run" that much in my mouth as pouches would.
The pouches actually run quite a lot.
Besides, if I use pouches, I would have to use two pouches to get the right size of the "pris", and that's a bit too much teabag-feeling in my mouth.

But I think the snus itself is the same for løssnus and pouches. You just can't bake the pouches.

Loose-snus is obiously the best, it gives most effect. Pouches are comfortable in certain situations, like for example in the class or if you want to be discrete. But loose-snus is the best, no doubt :wink:

I started with pouches but after a bit of practise I use loose now. The flavor is better, I feel. But sometimes I still use a pouch. I like the Mocca dry miniportion pouches for when I'm driving a long way, and pouches are good on an airplane.
And if I want to try the new Goteborg's Rape #2, I'll have to use a pouch, since they don't make it as a loose snus.

Hell yeah.. loose is best.. but as u say.. pouche is good when u want to be discrete, for instant in class

skruf stark is the best loose. strongcut portion and skruf stark portion is the best pouche snus.. thats my advise

Oh, Mocca is not snus, it's just...Mocca. Something different. I like the mint taste!

I also like Oliver Twist Citrus flavor. Again, it's very useful for on airplanes and such. Loose snus can be a bit messy to deal with.

For some reason the pouches give me more of a nic kick than the loose does. I know that sounds weird but that is how it works for me. Also with loose i get little to no flavor until it starts to break up in my upper lip. While with a pouch after about 10 minutes I move it around in my mouth and after about 20 minutes I will very gently chew on it a little and then I get even more flavor.

That being said I use loose snus mostly as it is cheaper. Also the pouches seem like more of a "girly man" way to use snus. Not meaning to offend any portion users here. That is just how I feel for some reason. :lol:

That's also the same for me! I think it's because the snus in the pouches is ground more fine...maybe?

Yeah, same here. Skruf Stark portions, Grov Maxi, etc, are vicious! I don't get that kind of boot to the head from loose for some reason. I use loose at home now and pouches at the office/lab, etc, just because they're not as messy amongst civilised people :lol:

When i am out working on the farm or birdwatching or hunting i use los - a mouthful of it - and i have no problem if i need to spit. When i am in public i use mostly pouches. I work most of the time in a public place, so, it's mostly 1 gram puches for me. I also use pouches when i have to drive two hours or so.
I like the Mocca Mandarin, the mandarin flavor is nice and seems natural, but i mostly use two pouhes at a time - two pouches do give me a nicotin kick. Not much traditional snus flavor though.
