    On the subject of pasteurising - when you 'cook' your own snus - the main thing you're doing is changing the taste. These cooking procedures are not the same as commercial snus makers steam pasteurisation but holding the temperature around a steady 70 degrees C for that long will kill off most things.

    I was wondering about that, because pasteurization as a process usually is not a "days" thing but more an hour or so thing at a given temp.

    I am curious how long something like Ettan is cooked like that. I mean I could setup something to "steam pasteurize". I am thinking almost like a smoker box but with water to steam instead of flame and smoke. But how long does that really need to be done. A matter of an hour or so in most cases should kill most things.
