    What happens to old snus?

I found a box of about 6-7 diff snuses. There are at least 10 tins of miscellaneous snuses in here. I don't even remember when I bought them

The portions are dried out for the most part. I am thinking that they are a year or more old

What are some methods to renew the snus? Is it lower in nicotine content?

Easy enough to rehydrate, just dab a drop or two of water onto each portion, leave in the fridge for 24 hrs, and hey presto

Nicotine will reduce over time. Cold slows the process. I have frozen snus from 2007, and the nicotine is about as it should be, but a chemical analysis may show it's reduced.

I was going to put a slice of apple in it and throw it in the fridge for a bit

That would work too but it may taste a bit appley. What lx says RE nic is spot on, it does reduce over time but I have had frozen snus thats from 2009 and its still good.

I'd use distilled water, but by all means use an apple too ;-)

Ya I have snus that has been in my fridge/freezer for months. But this snus looks dried out. I put a portion in, and it felt wierd. It felt like I put dip in my lip. like not easy on the gums. I took it out in like 30 seconds
