Sgreger1 was never banned.....nor did he leave in a huff........he has taken a step back to take care of some personal/family matters.....but he pops in from time to time

I think his point is it just feeds into the secondary drama caused by all this. Some people are treated preferentially. Welcoming back someone like the red carpet is rolled out after they were banned quietly. It should have stayed quiet instead of the grand introduction.

I certainly hope no one here is treated preferentially..............now that said longtime members are often given the benefit of the doubt verses some guy with one post......but that is more a matter of dealing with a known quantity verses preferential treatment.

As far as rolling the red carpet out...........that was not really the intent of the OP. I don't like things done in quiet (start or finish)......in fact what took so long to get this sorted out was the fact that when it went down nobody was sure what happened.

The announcement was intended to bring a clarity to the resolve......it was written for the forum as a whole not one or two members. Like I said….I don’t like covert, quiet, and secret…..people get screwed that way…….I prefer clarity……...thus the OP

And since blue brought all this up.........ask him how many emails I sent to him when he got banned trying to find a peaceful resolve to his situation..........and I would do the same for you or any other member here.

I was merely interpreting what I think the posts intention was. I really don't care. I do feel that you GN displayed bad "netiquette" in the "warning" thread. But...

1. That was not what this thread was/is about
2. What do I really care?
3. My opinion really does not matter either way on this issue, seriously it does not, nor do I want it to matter. I was just taking a stab, with my normal touch of crassness at interpretting Blue's comments.

Just for the sake of clarity devilock was spot on in the translation. It just seems odd to me to ban someone and the welcome them back, might even seem condescending.

And to Snusdog I appreciated what you did at the time trying to help me but it was to no avail. I learned a bit during that whole process and where the power truly lies. I meant no disrespect to anyone especially you or LX who I think help the powers that be navigate these muddy waters a bit more efficiently. I wasn't trying to start a flame war I just wanted to say my piece as usual.......
