Ettan los is delicious! Pure tobacco with just a hint of cocoa.

If I remember correctly............my last two rolls of Skruf were purchased during a time when they were having some real quality control issues (seems I read an article about it....but it has been a while).....then they went to the black cans, dropped the amount in the cans from 45 grams to 42 (they were one of the first to do it) and at that point I just moved on..............at one time Skruf was what I considered my all around snus (the one if I had to choose just one for a long trip is what I would grab)....it went from that to completely out of my rotation.

But it seems things might be improving a bit.....so maybe it is time to give it a re-try......and while I am at it I might as well revisit Prima.........now if I could only find a way to keep Northerner from jacking up my subtotal.....I just tried to put an order in again tonight....the subtotal still magically doubles.....who knows
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

You do know that you can buy snus from better purveyors?

Lös and starks. Had a feeling you guys would say that.

So... I can up my nicotine level, learn to love lös, or settle with some other portion snus... Hell, maybe I should just dip Copenhagen.

Well, I'll be trying lös I guess.

Well OttR - that's the question you asked us - and by and large it is the correct answer. Los takes a bit of getting used to - and it can't be used as discretely as portions - but you can get a lot better at controlling it in the lip with practice. Stark los allows you to use a far smaller amount and can be better value for money as well as richer flavoured.

Grovsnus. Nuff' said. Pure tobacco and salty goodness.

I have to agree with Snusdog on the Prima Fint; I have tried it a lot, but it is just too mild. It tastes like cream and dill. I can use it but I don't really like it.

I'm not sure why you would need to draw that conclusion......my recommendations referenced the los version because that is what I have had in each of those brands and thus what I can vouch for flavor/taste wise.......however each brand I recommended also has a portion variety

Also only two of my suggestions were Stark....4 were not

So go grab a tin of regular strength portions and.......

                Hell just froze over............

                what am I saying.......

did I really just recommend portions over los...........

forget everything I just said........let me try again

                    lol

Let me put it this way: If there was no such thing as portion snus, and only loose snus existed, I never would have considered snus as a replacement for smoking.

I've been about a week off the smokes. I still crave them. I'm desperately trying to find a snus I can stand to use regularly to keep me off them.

In my shopping cart for my next order are four cans of loose: Grovsnus, Granit, Roda Lacket, and General Extra Strong. And another 10 different kinds of portions. Thanks for the help. Seriously.

Grov is pretty salty, as is General Ekstra Sterk....my two mainstay snus flavors when I first quit cigs. If you've been smoking for any length of time, you shouldn't worry about upping your nicotine tolerance...you should be more concerned with doing whatever you can to get off of the cigs. Nicotine dependency won't kill you....smoking will. At any rate, good luck and let us know how it all turns out for you :-)

I finally ordered some Grov on my last purchase. That 40% Swedish Match deal at SC got me It's pretty much my new favorite now. Give it a shot.

Yeah, Grov is becoming my favorite portion. The only thing I don't like about it is that it makes my throat scratchy. It's about tied with Granit (especially the Maxis) now.

You're right about upping the nicotine. It's slowly been going up, though I've tried to keep it level. Oh well I shouldn't worry about it.

Not serious about the Copenhagen. Okay, a little serious. I just sometimes think if I'm going to have a big lump of tobacco in my mouth, might as well dip. What's Copenhagen taste like anyway?

Copenhagen is very nice indeed! I occasionally get it as a treat!

I like Copenhagen, and get it occasionally. It's smoky and leathery, with a nice amount of salt. The flavor doesn't last very long though.

You might want to try Gellivare or Pioneer!
