Moving to Europe, trying to avoid the snus ban (is this method possible?)

Hey fellas,

I figured some of you might have had to deal with this much more than myself, so I thought I'd ask. The window is closing on these jobs coming up in Europe. I have one offer, and the rest still remain to be seen. The job will send me back to the US once or twice a year for a short time. Would I be able to say... carry a 2nd suitcase and load it full of rolls of snus (say 20-30 rolls) and just take it back into the EU without issue? Or did the EU actually think about people trying this?

My plan is to have the snus shipped to my parents address (in the US), pick it up when I get back stateside, load it up in a suitcase and bring it back with me. I'm sure this has been discussed, but I have been unable to find anything.

I wonder if false suitcase walls will work? Just break open those rolls, and line the walls with snus cans. I imagine that my trip through customs would be a lot worse than it was last time I entered Switzerland from a country of "questionable origin".

Just fly to Sweden, fill up, fly back, simples Ansel did it not too long ago, I have done it before, never had any hasstle from customs and I got stopped once, as long as it isn't cigarettes they don't really care.

Oh FYI its not a taxable good when coming in the UK from my interpretation of the laws etc, same as snuff. I.E. Bring as much as you physically can (without taking the piss ofc). I remember snusify saying you could get a 6 month supply back in one suitcase comfortably.

This sounds like it might be the best option.

However, I would still order 4 or 5 rolls and have them sent to my parents house and try it that way as well.

That sounds like a great option! I don't know about prices but I don't imagine a flight from London, Berlin, etc to Sweden being that expensive. Thanks for the suggestion mate!

I'll definitely give that a try! I brought 2 rolls of snus with me to Bulgaria last December. I stopped over in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria as well (without issue from customs). Bulgaria is an EU member, and I know 2 rolls of snus is technically over the "limit". I'll give 4-5 rolls a try when I head over next month.

Can get a cheapo flight from London for about £50 and come back the same day if you want, its not expensive at all, espcially if you're buying in bulk.

Could you have your parents mail you a few rolls at a time? Would that work?
