Are you kidding me?! Terrible name, and terrible graphics. My cat could have done better, and her English sucks.

I dont understand why some brands are trying to make "american" flavors. They are stealing market share away from dip by having a different product not by having the same. "Captain Yankee?" "Americana"

It's a really dumb name perhaps it is in some way a reference to Yankee boat Captain? Either way the graphics and name are dated and awful.

          Yankee Clipper

That took me about 2 seconds of thought riffing off their horrible name. Imagine what could be done by trying.

Yankee Clipper sounds way better and is a better representation of "Americana" than Nick and Johnny Captain Stabbin errr I mean Yankee Captain. What's next Nick and Johnny Club Diesel...if that happens I'm never using a Swedish Match product again....NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT! (For those Seinfeld fans out there).

In one of our snus summit meetings, I think it was in DC, we tried a variety of processed tobacco, one of which was an American batch from Pennsylvania which had a strong nicotine content and a natural flavor. I believe this may be what they go with for the "Americana" blend. But I'm not sure, just my likeliest option.

                        ^ Honey badger don't care.

...and I still can't get over how dumb this name is. Swedish Match is really trying to gain a presence in the states do they not have anyone working for them in the US? All that is needed is 1 guy based in each of the following cities: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle, Dallas (or a surrounding area of each). Boom you have a general reaction to most of the countries reaction to a product that you would sell. I guarantee that none of them would have approved of the name, graphics, or even idea of trying to make another attempt at "American" snus. Those of us that use Swedish snus don't want that and those who use dip or smoke are not gonna be swayed by something like this.

I don't know if its targeting the US market or not but they made the N&J line for Norway and have always targeted the sterks at the Norwegian market. It would be like N&J Admiral Nelson snus being made for the UK, prob for the Norskis but we go ooooo look at the union jack snus!
