    Retro Original Portion

I tacked one of these onto my last order, somewhat impulsively. I'm running low on portion snus in general, until payday, so I'm saving this Retro can as a backup, before I resort to the purchase of Camel Frost.
Anybody have any "yays" or "nays" re: Retro portion or White? I'm headed up North for a 4 day trout fishing excursion next week, and won't have enough time to recieve a new buysnus order. So it looks like lake trolling will be powered by; said unopened can of Retro, a Phantom Classic, and a Skruf cranberry with a leftover-hybrid tin of all 3 Camel flavors. If I give in in the next couple days and crack the Retro, I'll share my feedback, or upchuck, whichever the case.

Retro isn't too bad. I grabbed one white and one original a few weeks ago and like you saved them until my supply was almost cashed. There is no fruitiness or sweetness that I could taste, which may or may not ruin it for you depending on how you like the Camel. I've never tried Camel but it smells very sweet. I don't do well with sweet at all or strong berry or fruit flavors, unless it's subtle like this very first and very tasty Goteborg Rape No. 2 I just popped in from the package I received today, or Gotlands yellow or green. No spiciness to the Retro either as with General etc, and not nearly as salty and delicious as Grov or Knox, just plain tobacco with some fairly unpleasant bitterness and sub-par flavor in my opinion. All that is to say, you could have done a lot worse at leaving something you have doubts about as your last can. Christ I just went through a snus drought until today that almost left me with nothing but Jacobbsons Ice Fruit, an absolutely heinous crime against all that is good about snus. Unless you like eating toothpaste. Just wanted to give you an idea of my preferences to help you interpret this "review". I won't order it again but it's not offensive by any means.

I just noticed we're both Seattleites. What a lovely town. I don't think I'll ever resort to Camel based on the smell and what I've heard, so maybe we could help each other out in dire straights sometime. I just got 15 cans today so if you need a loner and you live in town hit me up! I work downtown and live on Queen Anne, sort of. Right off 99.

I love Retro, it's one of my absolute favorites. Really nice subtle tobacco flavor with a hint of juniper berries, not as overwhelming as Goteborg's Surprise Sex. If you like subtle but complex snus like Ettan you may like it.
