    Basically information please

Dear friends,I'm writting from Croatia and there is very hard to get any sort of snus but I manage to get something from ebay.I tried Danmark small rolls of tobacco which is named "Oliver Twist" and I like it very much.I also tasted "General" snus in small pillows(if I can say like that?) but I never completely sure how to consume these products. In first place I don' t know how long I can keep it between cheek and jaw and should I have to spit all the time the juice which is produced in the mouth or I have to swallow it.Most the time I 've swallow but I'm not sure is it the right way of consuming and is it dangeorous for stomac? Please help me with answering...

Hi mino. You can keep the portion in your mouth as long as you want. I average about an hour but some go longer and some go shorter. Also, the juice is safe to swallow. You can spit it as well. If you use snus with beverages, it should keep the juice to a minimum, and will definitely keep it from being bitter or tasting bad. I hope those answers help you.

Thank you very much BadAxe.You helped me.An hour ago I keeped in mouth for a 45 min. a pillow of General Classic white strong and I have to admit it got me sick, maybe because I consumed it after for days I used Oliver Twist's pellets which is,I suppose much more milder than General strong.Actually I've been waiting for my parcel of Oliver Twist from Germany.

        Welcome to the forum mino.
You can swallow the juice, but some people (myself included) feel a bit sick from the nicotine after doing so. Placing snus towards the front of the mouth helps to reduce drip.

Thanks Pouchface for telling me your experience. It's all very useful to me because I'm a relly beginer. When I first tried snus I was spitting all the time the juice produced in mouth and it exhausted me.Now I simply swallow the drips when they come but also find it's not very good because of big contrecation of nicotine consuming in organism in that way. I'd like to know if anyone else like me used to replaces portion in the mouth often?I keep it on the left side of cheek, for example, a few minutes and then put it by the tounge on the right side and I do it all the time the portion is in my mouth.Of course in_ way I described it's naturally a lot of drips to swallow or to spit...Sorry for my English frinds!

Mino one of the best ways to keep snus from making too much juice is to put the portion in front of your top teeth a little off to the side. This should result in the smallest amount of juice and will also result in a more even nicotine delivery. Drinking something when using a snus portion is also a good idea because it will dilute the juice as it goes into your stomach. Also if you are using portions one after the other then you will be getting too much nicotine. Try to space them out an hour or two apart.

I haven't seen it, and unless the photos come from a known source, I don't believe them. Dishonest people use photos to tell a false narrative about numerous things, and if they aren't documented(and sometimes if they are), they give 1,000 words of fiction.

In my opinion, the fact is that the more you spit the more saliva secreted in the mouth .... I have used snus for over 40 years and when it comes to me, it has not affected the teeth or gums significantly ..

Inspite of my fear for teeth and gums I find snus very satisfied.Especially mentioned Danish mini rolls of tobacco named "Oliver Twist". Yesterday I got from Germany five boxes of different taste. In the same time I ordered from Sweden two boxes of non tobacco and non nicotine snus to try how it works. I felt when I had tried "General" strong white portion that had been too strong for me and I hadn't been like too big "pillow" in my mouth. I simply need to experiment yet with different kind of snus and sizes.I red something about American snus, mostly about Camel, and many snusers said that is too sweet but it would be very possible it could be satisfied to me. I heard from time to time about American chewing tobacco and I'd been also courious about it and wonder what is the method of consuming that "chewing tobacco"? Is it the very similar to consume like chewing gums? I have always picture in my mind of Clint Estwood in the movie "The pale rider" who was spitting the whole time during the movie a horrible black salive and even once spit a dog whit it.I hope you manage to understand my bad English and help me with my numerous questions and doubts dear friends...

Chewing tobacco is simply placed along the jawline and literally chewed, a lot like gum yes. Some people chew gently, some chew very hard. The important thing is to spit out all the saliva that you produce, DO NOT SWALLOW the juice or the leaves.

That said, it is a very satisfying habit, just more dangerous and more expensive than snus.

Loose snus is used in a pinch and roll method. The swedes call it a pris. It's first pinched between your index finger and thumb, then placed in the palm and rolled until it's in a cylinder shape. Just place it in the normal spot you place portions and enjoy. The other way to make a pris (and it's an easier method) is to buy an ice-tool which is a machine that makes a pris without you having to roll it yourself. If you're a beginner to loose snus, buying one of those will make consumption more enjoyable.

Thank you very much. It's perfectly clear and useful information to me. It sounds pretty enjoyable to consume loos snus in that way.I suppose when you made a solid pris then it's durable in the mouth, maybe like portion. When you mentioned cylinder shape it had reminded me of the pellets of Danish Oliver Twist tobacco which I liked it very much. In difference that Oliver Twist pellets is made of the tracks of tobbaco leaves and then rolled in pellets in cylinder shape.I must try loos snus again and correctly.Have someone a good link of a ice tool?
