Any thoughts on Kronan and Gustavus los?

I have been reluctant to order these for whatever reason.

I was wondering if the long time snusers or anyone who favors these could kinda compare them for me such as saltiness and how floral the overall taste is.

I have had Goteborgs Rape los and it was good but not an everyday thing for me.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think Gustavus is great, but Kronan I find unusable. Think of Gustavus as having a General type flavor profile, with a bit more earthiness, and chocolate notes. It's on the salty side, and is a favorite of mine.

Kronan has a synthetic floral taste, that reminds me of kids play supplies(paint, crayon...), and not much salt.

Gustavus is worth a try imo, Kronan only if you don't mind wasting a few dollars.

I have been snusing for a while now and I would say Gustavus Los is my favorite snus at the moment and has been for the last couple months. I was never to fond of Kronan, but it was not horrible. I highly recommend giving Gustavus a try. I cant go without it

Kronan rocks, I don't get any synthetic taste or crayons, spray paints etc myself, but it is quite floral, so if you like that...... I keep meaning to add some Gustavus in the cart but keep forgetting, I think thats the last one at Buysnus on my list.

I should add that I have liked almost every snus I've tried though, and am somewhat of a snus whore, so take this fwiw. ymmv

I had a can of Kronan loose.

I found it way too coarse and harsh on my lip. The flavor was no problem though. Seemed pretty solid salty tobacco, not really too far from General. I just couldn't get past how grainy and gritty it was. I baked and baked trying to get the jagged bits to lay flat before shoving it my lip.

I found the can in my fridge today. There was less than a fourth of it left and it was really dried out. I tossed it.

Like any other snus, I'm glad to have tried for myself. I wouldn't turn it down if I was out, but I'll pay a wee bit more for Grov loose as far as "plain" flavored snus goes. I prefer General and Phantom classic for my loose snus.

I've tired Gustavus loose recently. It's good for when you want a very salty tobacco flavor as opposed to much of the loose that is more on the sweet side.

im actually hesitant to try anything people label as "salty"

Thats what ive been trying to find but to me all swedish snus labeled as too salty has no salt at all.

Even people who are like , " i tried (insert snus brand here) and its too salty to me." I just taste sweet tobacco in all ive tried.

Ive come to terms with that and know that all snus ill ever try has no salt whatsoever. I know its there but i do not taste it.

Ive only been snusing for like 3 mnths and only portions have a salt flavor and thats only if you lick them while using them.

I was just upset with grov because it has no flavor at all.

I have a can of Kronan loose... I'll try it later and post back with my thoughts no harm in opening another can is there?

Gustavas is on my list of snus to buy next time.

I understand. Tastes are strange that way. Of all the loose snus I've tried - about 10-15 - the original Gustavus is the saltiest. If you think Lucky Strike regular portions are unusually salty, then original Gustavus is also unusually salty. I'll put it that way. Although of course tastes are strange.

Yeah, i found lucky strike to taste great but i just tasted a tobacco flavor similar to copenhagen.

Thats great for me but its only available in portions.

I read a post on the old snusforums that strongcut was very similar to copenhagen but its no longer available.

I think they are both great. Love both in Los.

To me, Kronan tastes like bad perfume.

I love Kronan, it has a familiar taste to it, can't put my finger on what it is though.

I've got it, it tastes like a British candy called Parma Violets, but with a subtle citrus tang.

I couldnt have said it better myself. I tried to like it, but after my 2nd pris, it got flushed.

Usually, if I do not like something, I will go back to it after a while and give it another go. Not the case here. It just had a funky taste that I had no desire to revisit.

Once again I pay homage to the uniqueness of snus and personal flavor preference
