    I just realized....

    .... i havent tried ettan.

Just occured to me when placing my new order.

I guess i was detracted from ordering it because I hated Grov.

But ive read that a lot of people here agree either you are a grov man or ettan man.

    Hope its good.

It's like a calm, relaxing picnic lunch in an English meadow during spring compared to some of the Starks out there.

I like it, but half of the pleasure from it is the change of pace compared to what I usually have. Nice, mellow, smooth, etc. but not a heck of a lot of flavor. Another part of why I like it is that it's the oldest recipe currently being mass-produced (I think I'm correct when I say that) and supporting that is something that appeals to me.

Can't say as I agree with that, or maybe I'm just unusual (more likley) but I enjoy both. Some mornings it's Ettan with coffee - others it's Grov.

Well I haven't tried Grov for the same reason. I like Ettan both los and portion.

But, maybe, I should throw 1 Grov in the cart on the next order. I hesitate because I don't like getting something I am not going to use.

So far, Ettan is my favorite Los (best if hand baked IMHO). I do, however, have a lot of them still to exparament with.

To me Ettan is very mellow, subtle, and smooth... I really enjoy it... Grov on the other hand is strong and harsh, and it reminds me of something an old man would enjoy...

I am all about strong tobacco flavors.

I have used copenhagen snuff for over 3 years up to the point of using snus exclusively.

I ordered grov with high expectations because the review i read about it was describing it as salty tobacco goodness.

To me it was exactly the opposite.

Grov was like a sweet tobacco with no salt and its just too boring to me and i was completely let down.

I will never order grov again, hopefully the subtlness of ettan will be to my liking

Good to see another from Wisconsin.

I also see we both enjoy Ettan.

What age would the old man be?

LOL! As soon as I typed that I realized that someone my tak issue with it...

I just meant that it tastes to me like what some of my family elders chewed/smoked back when I was a kid...

Oh well, I like to eat liver and onions, and some might say that that's what an old man would eat, right?! To each his own!
