just a quick note to uk snussers...

    hi all,

got my "tobacco cuts" delivered in 3 days from northerner and all totally legal... crazy snus isn't.

anyways these lakrisan original are good... about 6mg/7mg so fine for me. works out about £4 for a can of 28 bits including shipping.

not as big a fan of the lakrits ones.

arrived marked "chewing tobacco" in big letters.

Yes - agreed it's crazy that snus isn't similarly available!

£4 a can isn't really expensive in relation to what the Swedes have to pay in tobacco taxes for their snus. A can of portions is about 40 SEK (£4) over there - maybe down to £3 for the budget ones and the Odens with fewer portions in a can. If we buy from snusline it's the same for a can of Skruf. The lakrisan bits are about the same size & strength as regular snus - not tiny weeny Oliver twist sized bits.

Ok, so a tin could last 3 days. I reckon I'd go through 15 tins a month which is £60. I get 20 tins of Odens for £43 so the cuts are expensive.

OK - Ansels figures were a bit off.

Just did a quick calculation for a roll including delivery. Works out at £3.40 a tin. I suppose at 34 quid and if you could eke it out for a month it would be alright.

OK - but I'd probably say that the Odens is very very cheap!

The OT are good but only using 1 at a time when your tolerance is low. Impossible straight after a sterk. But possible just after a cigarette.

I hope they taste better than Oliver Twist or Picannell.

pretty much the same, just more lakritsy to me, I am not a fan and they are far too expensive. You can buy the thunder chewing tobacco and chewing "bags" for about half the price in shops here, its better than nothing.

Hello again guys :-) my first post in a while.

I tried the lakrisan lakrits and the taste simply isn't as natural or as pleasant as olly twist black (or' LD Black' - aka 'the precious') And a bit strong for me, my tolerance is back down to 4-6mg. This hit me like a standard strength snus. So for 99% of you lot, that would be ok.

I'm tending to use Stonewall Java ('Starion' bought the StarCure patent etc from Star Scientific, as Ansel says) and olly twist these days, but will be trying minis as well.

Back on the topic of lakrisan, it definitely makes sense to buy if you like it, you're getting 9g tobacco as opposed to 7g from a OT, and it's cheaper to boot. But doesn't float my boat...

same as picanell (made by same people) instead of slightly salty these are slightly sweet but not sweet like oliver twists.
