      Nicotiana Glauca unfortunately will not make it through a British hard winter - but it will grow pretty robustly if planted out each year like rustica does according to those who have tried it.

      The anabasine in this variety is psychoactive and I've heard it's potentially hallucinogenic but also has potential positive side-effects for people with depression and schizophrenia. I would personally treat it with a degree of caution. It contains little nicotine.
