    Help out the new guy.

    Members

You may be able to help me save some time and expense on my choice of Snus.

I am a new buyer of Swedish Snus and I am finding that I either love certain kinds and brands or if I don’t love them.... I generally dislike them. There seems to be no middle ground.

So far the only two Snus that I love seem to be the most sweet and highly flavored ones.

I know there must be many more.

Offroad Los Lakrits and Jakobssons Melon I love.

Both pronouncedly are sweet and highly flavored. A turn off for many I realize that.

Without me going through a hundred or more cans to find a third and more choices that I would really like: can you guys offer any suggestions that would “fit” the same result as the two I mentioned above?

I realize that taste preference is personal and only the user would know.

But are you aware of other Snus choices that are highly sweetened and flavored?

    Thank You

    Dan

List a few that you don't like.......that will give us a better idea of the range we are choosing from
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

The problem I'd have in doing that is too extensive.

A very good friend of mine (and also a mod here) advised me that the best way to tackle this situation was to post it and see what turns up.

He also told me that in time (with Snus use) my taste buds would change and I would come around to enjoying more tobacco like flavors.

But that may or may not happen. In the meantime I love the flavors mentioned.

Think of it this way: as a new user I want to "cut to the chase" as it were. Yes I have cans of Jak Dynamite and other very similar brands in my fridge but no matter how many of the non sweet and highly flavored brands I have tried....I just am not happy with the experience.

But I love Snus! Don't get me wrong on that.

Can you guys (I seem to think you can) steer me in the direction that most of you probably do not want to go which is......Sweet and Sweet and intensely flavored?

I will one day come around to the real experience, I know.

But my time is focused on today and I know I could stock up on the two brands mentioned above but I still want to love others and "cut to the chase".

So telling you what I don't like would take a lot of keyboard work and I have never been good at typing.

      Thanks for helping me out.

      Dan

Jakobssons Mint, and give Grov a shot. Grov's not flavored as you like, but you might like it anyway. Unless you've had, and rejected Ettan. If that's the case, aside from being a heathen, you might not like Grov :^P

              Thanks!

Jak Mint is also in my cart.

And a heathen may indeed be the best way to describe me until I really get on board with the true meaning of Snus.

I'm still in the infancy stage.

Eventually I will have to leave the candy store.

Thunder Frosted is one that a lot of folks who are just starting out really like

Might want to try something from the Old Ving line (made by GN/Gajane)

Phantom blue, Goteborg Rape, and Gustavus are not sweet but have a very distinct non-traditional flavor that might fit your liking

Also, Gotelands Julesnus (its their Christmas snus). It taste like mulled wine with a bit of a herbal taste

                  Hope this helps

Tried Ving Lime (no) tried Thunder Frosted (close).

Haven't tried the Christmas blends to date.

So far Jak Melon and Offroad Lakrits are my go to.

And they are really in the candy store.

Catch Lafayette Street is probably the sweetest snus available now. They are mini's but they are good. At least try a tin.....I think they have the taste that you are looking for....as long as you like sweet spearmint.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
