    Personal Use Supply

The more I use and love Snus the more interested in other people's use and habits re: Snus I become.

For instance, I realize that a lot of members trade and sell Snus here and probably have a substantial amount of product lying around.

But....is there anybody (I seriously doubt this) who only has one can at a time and buys another one can when needed?

Let's say you don't or haven't traded or sold any Snus in a long time.

Who holds some kind of record for Snus stored up (and kept wherever) for only personal use?

For long time users how many rolls one kind of Snus have you purchased at one time just for your own use?

And anything else you can think of along this line just throw it into the pot.

Large quantity is the only way to buy. Wait until a deal is on, then stock up. Snus will never be cheaper than it is today, and a little bit of freezer dryness(replace with water) is a small price to pay for saving money.

lsxkllr that brings up the next question.

How do you exactly advise on how to rehydrate a can of Snus with water (without ruining it)?

I just eyeball it and estimate. I take a tin out of the freezer, and let it thaw in the fridge for a day. Then set the kitchen tap so it dribbles(distinct drops as opposed to a stream), and dribble it in the snus, then let it rest in the fridge for a day or two. It's better to be conservative and add too little water. More can be added later. If you get it too wet, you then have to dry it, and I think frequent state changes do more to ruin snus than anything. With regards to temperature and moisture, stable is better than frequent changes, and changing the state should be gradual if possible.

If there was a big, well stocked snus shop on the corner (not likely in IL) I'd probably buy two or three cans at a time.
Shipping from Sweden is $28 whether I order 3 cans or three rolls of cans, so I usually order thirty to forty cans at a time. Buysnus.com has been offering free shipping every few months on orders of thirty cans or more, so I look for those deals.
General can be bought at most speedway and Circle K gas stations near me, and I like General, but I seem to like having at least three different brands on hand, and always have a couple of cans open at once. I start to freak out when I get down to ten cans, but that might be a bit irrational. Nothing in the freezer right now, but the vegetable drawer in my fridge is all snus and, maybe, three old carrots. I should probably eat more veggies....

I have about 500 tins in the freezer at the moment and about 30 in the fridge. When I go over to Sweden I will usually get at least 5 rolls of General White Portion and General Extra Strong portions as a minimum then see what else I want/need.

Like lx said, a bit of freezer dryness is a small rice to pay but if you store it properly its never really an issue. I think Whalen and PP will hold the record for the most snus horded at any one time.

I know heders only needs one can at a time, but thats because he lives in Sweden

5 to 10 rolls during very special sales. Motorhead was a buck a can on clearance. 120 cans and I cracked them all. I have a special weopon for snus....a one dollar micro mister filled with distilled water. The micro drops brings the drier snus back gently.

I like to keep about a years supply currently have about 3 rolls of N&J white and about 3 rolls of General white* (*bought local when they had the 99cent promo deal) and then some random singles of some of ones i like for changeup or have gotten in trades

and yes during sales/free shipping deals is the time to stock up

all freezer kept until time to use and i use mainly white portions so moisture really isnt a big issue for me

I tend to keep a weeks supply of General loose, OP, WP and mint in my fridge, plus extras that I get in trades or that I buy. I'm able to only keep a week's supply because the tobacco shop I get my general at gets shipments in every Thursday to stock their chiller back up. They usually hold what I normally get away from the rest of their order.

I suppose the most I have ever purchased at one time might be around 80 rolls or 800 tins at the most. That was all OffRoad Coffee/vanilla. If you look around the site you might find a photo of a mountain of that snus. That photo was taken before I REALLY stocked up. I was forced to stock up because the flavor was being discontinued.

You may think that its crazy to buy that much at one time but that particular flavor is the only snus that I use. Also, it was less than $2 per tin and shipping was free at the time. I have a huge freezer and a vacuum sealer. I knew I could preserve it properly for years to come without a problem. 10, 15 or more rolls at a time is pretty much a minimum for me to buy.

I have different brands/flavors of snus in my freezer that you have never even heard of. I also have discontinued snus in there that some members here might kill for. I've spent a lot on money just on vacuum sealing bags. That should sum it up pretty well.

I think a few of the members here have quite a bit in their freezers. I probably have more stashed away simply because the only snus that I use is discontinued and I stocked up a lot. If I could order my go to snus I wouldn't have to stockpile so much. For that reason it actually sucks that I only like one flavor.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
