Got my Hands on General White portions!

So today I stopped at a local turkey hill and decided to get a can of snus for the first time in about a month and a half(I was using a ecig for a bit but got a snus craving). So I asked for General mint and paid for it. I got to the car and realize that the cashier give me white portions instead of mint. I'm not sure when they started carriyng white portions but it seems they are expanding flavors which I take as a good sign. It's also the first time I had the white portions. I thought they were good. The only bad part is it upset my stomach a bit but I'm thinking that is because I have not snus in a bit and my stomach wasn't used to it like before.

Yeah I like it too. It almost reminds me of the classic blend in the coffin cans they have here.

way better than the classic in the coffin cans. those taste like wet cardboard. the WP's much better. also I have noticed that general mint from Sweden isn't nearly as sweet as general mint sold here in the US. anyone else noticed this?

The people at my local Speedway cannot figure out what I'm asking for either. Every single time I walk in there. "I want 5 cans of white portion, in the bottom right of the cooler." ....they always come back with a mix of regular portion, mint, and white.

Speaking of the coffin cans, it seems as if SM is coming out with a new design:

"The new look features a premium brushed metal can with a fresh foil seal. The ergonomic design also features a hinged metal lid, a first for the smokeless tobacco category."

I'd like to have a couple of those new cans. I've only seen real snus in the wild once, and that was a lonely tin of Ettan on a tobacco store's counter. It might have belonged to the clerk cause I didn't see any others.

The Swedish General Mint is a totally different animal, not sweet at all (Swedes don't want that) it has a hint of vanilla in it too, a pure spearmint with no sweetness and a hint of vanilla. It tastes like trebor mints sold here but without the sugar, I love it.

                    Thanks skell for the explanation.

lxskllr , I may be wrong, but I'm thinking you live in Maryland. There are literally dozens of locations on Generals locator page. Have you checked it recently?

I know I'm double posting but this is my thread! So I got some general original today(pic below). I also noticed that they only had 1 flavor of the coffin cans at my local turkey hill(nordic mint). the rest were all regular round cans. Are they phasing out the coffin cans? Maybe the store was just low on stock too.

One gas station near me only has the odd-shaped 12 portion cans, while another station near me only has the round 24 portion cans. It must be up to the retailer.

I prefer to pay the extra 60c for a 24 portion can personally.
