      at least they have good taste :-) On second thought, it may be killing them when they get it back to the nest and eat it...sooooo, maybe it's a win win :-)

        Actually they have long ago stopped eating their regular dish of d-con which I have been feeding them for years because they figured out (chipmunks and mice both) that a lot of their friends were not coming back home after a day out.

        They are social bastards and they get the picture in short order.

        No, I have come up with another more "normal and sane" solution as to how to handle my non finished sticks.

        I found a tupperware dish that was made specifically for poaching eggs.

        That sucker is now going to take on a new meaning and store half finished expensive cigars. It even has a chimney to release heat (or smoke now).

        Yes: I realize that is probably not the best way to keep half smoked sticks but I'm not an editor from Cigar Aficionado magazine either and I'm not going to tell that to people who I see in real life anyway.

        I just have to keep the dish in the house as the chipmunks would cut through that ceramic like a hot knife through butter.
