It is scientifically proven to help with concentration, memory and stress, and with pretty much every neurological disorder going, and helps to prevent degenerative neurological disease, as bigblue pointed out. You're just spouting the usual clichéd stigma that tobacco is entrenched in.
Furthermore, don't think nicotine is the only thing you're addicted to. Try quitting sugar, or grains.
