Thinking about getting into sterks...

So, I am normally a WP man. I don't particularly like the flavor of bergamot, and as such my go-tos are Ettan WP and Tre Ankare WP. I am thinking about trying sterks. There are a ton of sterk snus flavors that just aren't around in regular strength portion, and my curiosity has been piqued.

So I have a couple of questions. First, are there any sterk strength snuses that are to die for? Bear in mind, I don't like too much smoke (general op), bergamot (general wp). Flavorings such as mint are meh - the only flavored snus i have ever truly loved is GR havtron.

With that being said, I have two simple questions:

Can you derive satisfaction from a regular strength portion after you've adapted to sterks?
What sterks are best?

For what it's worth, I have had good success cutting extra sterk portions in half. That way I get the flavor but without nicotine overload in some portions I really like that aren't available in regular strength. For example, right now I have a half portion of Thunder Ultra Brandy Alexander in; I dig the flavor, but couldn't handle the ~20mg of nicotine in a full portion. As an added bonus, it has the concealability of a mini, and each tin has effectively double the number of portions.

I rotate between sterks and regulars its more about the flavor than the nicotine for me .. if they made nick and johnny in 8mg and it tasted the same id use it

I doubt that trying a tin each of a few sterks will spoil you for reg strength. I started on sterks a few months ago and mix them with regular strength portions and don't feel like the regulars are too weak or the sterks too strong, it's about the flavor. Grov Stark op and General ES op are in my top five now, Skruf Sterk is very good........General ES and Skruf Sterk come in a wp too and I don't taste the bergamot much in either, might be good tries for you. The one sterk that was overwhelming for me was Jak's Dynamite, delicious but just too much nic. For the flavors it's worth trying.

When I was in the sterks and put a 9mg in I still noticed it. It wasn't as strong but it would still do something....at the beginning of a snussing day. At the end of a snussing day I wouldn't even notice a Sterk.
It's easy to switch back on strengths so I wouldn't worry.

I have a very strange tolerance for nicotine. I really need to have it because I"m addicted but just about anything other than nicotine gum kills my craving. I don't get a "buzz" from anything. I use sterks mostly because i love thunder frosted. I have no problem going through a day with only general op or mocca black maple. I'm a little bit different than most people with nicotine though so its really hard to tell. You should be fine. You can definitely give sterks a try though. Maybe have one a day? A nice unwinder with a big kick of nicotine as your day comes to an end

I chain sterks. I find 8mg isn't quite enough for me but chaining Lab 05 is perfect.

I didn't even allow myself to try a sterk for the first few years. Now it's 40%. That's partly due to Thunder being cheaper than an SM offering. I always start the day with one. Just one. I couldn't do ten of them in a day (I'd get ill) but three or four, sure. I can notice the difference in nicotine where some can't. When I'm craving a snus I want the sterk. I know it's the heavier blast of nicotine that I'm really after.

I usually go Grov WP during the day at work. OPs and sterks at home. It's a nice balance now, but I'd imagine it would be wise to dial back the nicotine at some point. I just want to get there before a doctor does. At this stage though, to your point, it would be a chore to have just a regular portion in the morning. I wouldn't like it right now.

Personally, I recommend Lab 05 series and Jakobbson's Classic Strong. Both are excellent.

I don't notice a difference in nic hit from sterk to regular...although I never get a nic hit from any. Lol. I use sterks cause I love Jaks.

Not according to Swedish Match, but some shops sell it anyway. As they should :-)
