    New snus for american distribution.

I was in sams club today and was browsing though the tobacco section and saw they had a snus ive never heard called Gran Prix, thinking it was a camel offshoot or something I didnt pcik any up(besides being sold in a roll of 5 for 11.00 or so.) dont have enough room in my fridge. but I looked it up online and it is a product of sweden for U.S distribution. Just wondering if anyone has seen or tried any?

Grand Prix snus will be available in select retail outlets throughout the following areas: Portland, Oregon; Kansas City, Missouri; Indianapolis, Indiana; Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina; Orlando, Florida; and Columbus, Ohio.

Pretty bad stuff. I bought two cans the same day I bought Triumph for the first time. It was actually unbearible. I gave it second chance and bought a new can some time later. Yuck. I bought two of the three flavor they offer. Haven't seen it around lately.

Stay away, trash can bound after one taste.

Try it if you like super dry, stale, ashy flavor. Tasted like cigarette chaff in a rough used tea bag. The mint was worse.

I dunno, at least they tried. To really see good snus here we need to see refrigeration. Drying out the portions that much to get shelf life compromises quality too much.

      OMG NPR Florida!

I bet I still hold the speeding record for that town. Nabbed at 104 in a 45 while leaving Bourbon Street.

That was an expensive joyride

Grand Prix, I remember that. Never bought it but bakerbarber 'donated' some to me in a trade we did. It was a very nice trade for me and was my introduction to Triumph Original. The Triumph is wonderful... but Grand Prix is certainly the organic excrement of the snus world. Stay away from it. Stay very far away. 8)

Grand Prix goes by the Tourney name in my neck of the woods. Not very nice.

If tourney is the same as the grand prix, I am actually a fan. In Michigan Tourney is now being marketed. Odly enough the day after I put in my first buysnus order, I walked into a gas station and saw tourney snus. Of course I had to pick up a can on the spearamint and straight tobacco flavor. And both were very acceptable. They seamed to be of the white portion variety, both lasted over an hour and were still giving flavor. The origional tasted like a mild copenhagen, and the spearamint was the best mint flavor I have found in a tobacco.

I will be buying tourney again, It is a dry tobacco, but you just lick it a bit before you put it in and the flavor comes right out.

When I was using the Tourney I'd take a sip of water and splash the portion a bit to get it going. The stuff kind of hurts my throat though, tastes like Roots.

Uh, it tastes like the weighty book by Alex Haley that was made into a tv mini-series about slavery?

Roots is a second rate Swedish snus made by Snus AB. They also make Tourney and Grand Prix AFAIK
