California online tobacco ban

Amen to that. Indiana always makes a fortune in revenues, when Illinois raises tobacco taxes. A lot of people that I know make 'smoke runs' to Indiana, plus fill their gas tanks and do other shopping while they're there.

My old neighbors back home would gather himself and 3 friends and they would find the cheapest price for beer which was usually Indiana or Kentucky.....they would then drive their obnoxiously large trucks from central IL to this destination and FILL UP. Can't imagine they ever made real big savings since I can't imagine beer would be cheap enough to justify crossing state lines even for that quantity but they loved to do it, Usually came back with atleast 1000 cases sometimes more depending on how much that store had. I know I was shocked by tobacco prices in VA when i first moved there. They were basically giving away cans of Longhorn. Skoal/Cope was hovering around 3.99 and this was around 2010 i believe.

My dad recently switched to snus although its starting to hurt his teeth so i don't know if it will pan out but prices seem to have raised there for cig's. He was only using maybe 6-10 portions a day but said he was saving a boatload of money every month.

I don't blame you for being furious. I would be too. Here's the bad part. The legislature has already passed the bill in a previous session several years ago, but Governor Schwarzenegger (R.) refused to sign the bill so it died.

Now that Schwarzenegger is gone the legislature will try again. If they pass the bill will Governor Brown (D.) sign the bill? The answer is "yes" because Brown was one of the sponsors that passed the unsigned bill.

The situation looks bleak.

How long can you keep snus in the freezer for? Do you just put em in airtight bags and throw em in?

They will probably last a bit longer if you put your snus in an airtight bag. From my own experience, anything in the freezer past 2 years starts going downhill as far as taste goes even if it is well wrapped.

If you use an actual vacumn sealer and freeze the snus it will last 5 or more years IMO. I've proven that to myself. Other members have done that and will agree.


Dam if Cali passes that then we can be sure that eventually we will all be screwed. Its just a matter of time. bummer

The vapers are up in arms about the California online ban. They are working with CASAA to prevent passage or at least exempt e-cigs. Everyone else seems resigned to the fact.

This is good for e-cig users.. but what about my lovely Swedish Snus!? Is there any petitions we can sign that show we are against this as a whole and not just e-cigs?

I know there's this but it seems to only be for e-cigs.. we need Swedish Snus in there aswell!
