    Saltiest snus

Ok, I love salt, and hate sweets, I will just put that out there, so my discovery of some snus just feeds my taste buds, and kills them at the same time. I quickly learned that Skurf stark los is so sweet tasting that I can not bear it much anymore. I only have one can left so thats a possitve. N & J is ok, but no salt flavor to me. Ettan is by far my favorite snus, love the smell love the flavor, the saltiness hits the spot, but could be more. I have also realized in just a few weeks of snusing that I will likely be one of the few on here to pick a brand or two and stick with that and nothing more; however, I decided to be daring and 2 buysnus mixes. The first was a los mix, which los is by far my favorite, but it is not convenient for the bars, work etc, so I also ordered the los and portion mix. So my guess it I will end up with 15 or so los cans and 5 portions. My goal is to try to find a salty snus in portion, preferably a normal and a white, and of course a los.

But I fear this wont give me a good enough idea of what is out there, So if you guys can tell me what you feel are the saltiest los, portion, and white I will be ordering rolls of most of them next round.

    Thanks commrads

I've got a Catch Licorice in right now thats pretty salty... I don't see any reason that you couldn't add a little salt to your los as well...

I will give them a try. So far next month my list is...

1 roll of lucky strike, portion is the only they have I believe

1 roll of Gustavus Los, mmmm.... los, I love it

I am very very tempted into trying knox for the price and decent reviews I see around here. Is there anyone that is a knox-head that can tell me weather there is any sweet flavor in this snus at all. I almost ordered a roll but I couldnt get past having 10 cans of somewhat sweet flavored snus. Even if it isnt very salty if there is no sweet I am interested in that also.

Knox tastes very much like Skruf. If you don't like Skruf, Knox isn't for you.

I said the same thing and i promise you that you will end up bored by the same flavor over and over.

When i dipped i used only 1 brand and never alternated.

With snus, right when i think i found the one it just turns on me and it tastes bland. I then find a new one and im like all right this will work and then get tired of it.

I have tried 75% of the Los out there and have yet to find salty goodness. I too feel your pain.

Ettan is the closest so far but it can start tasting like pecans or something similar after awhile.

When you recieve your gustavus los please let me know what you think of it.

Right now i switch it up with Skruf Stark, Gotlands gul, and Ettan , all los.

                  One time at band practice.....

                  I stuck a guitar up my....oh yeah...the snus thing. Ahem....pardon me

Got kinda drunk and popped a N&J West. At the time it was the saltiest thing I have ever tasted, and I've eaten a bowl of salt. I immediately gave it to my drummer and have never had it since.

I too, love salt. I love salt so much that I'm looking into getting a copy of Good Eat's hour long special on salt, and I own the book Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky.

It must be a Michigan thing.

I would definitely recommend reading the book - it will make you love salt as much as I do.
