How long can you keep los snus in before it starts to melt down your teeth?

I think my record was an hour which I am very proud of. I hear people keeping it for many hours without mudslide.. I am jealous. The more I do it, will there be a less likely occurrence of mudslide? Can you still drink liquids and keep it up there? I use a 4ml icetool most of the time but have tried hillbilly pinches but find that I can only keep them up there from 15-30 minutes before it starts melting. Btw, I never tongue it or mess with it other than sometimes pushing up on it from the outside of my mouth as to not get it wet. Also, I feel if I laugh and smile with it in it gets destroyed pretty fast and I have to start over. Will it eventually become perfect the more I do it? I really like the economical benefits of los and am trying to transition to using only los.

you'll develop what we call a snus pocket. There becomes a slight depression in your gums that acts as a placeholder for the prilla/portion. Once that develops it'll help. It took about a year or a year and a half for me. I know where you're coming from...I can get through about three songs if they have lyrics before it starts to break up and go everywhere. Drinking a warm beverage, for me, is a must. You'll get good at drinking a liquid without letting it touch the snus or cause that part of your mouth to salivate which makes the prilla slimy and hastens the inevitable mudslide. Practice, practice, practice. I prefer warm/hot beverages.

It's also helpful to keep the pril closer to the philtrum rather than farther back. Try to shape your prils a little tapered and elongated too to help keep it tucked up high.

Virtually indefinitely. The only thing that really destroys the snus is physical exertion. I clench my lip tight, and it ends up going everywhere. It just takes practice, and you'll be able to keep it longer as you develop a feel for it. Coarser snus is easier to manage than fine snus when you're starting out.

A long time, have fallen asleep with lös in before and woken up with it intact, sometimes it's been everywhere!! I normally keep lös in for 3-4 hours, everything WK and lx have said is spot on, you just get used to it and it takes practice to keep it all up there. First time I tried lös it lasted about 15 minutes before the mudslide, my problem always has been the ends getting too wet and breaking up,now I just swallow the snus if that happens but it was a pain in he arse! Now if it happens I can use my tongue to keep it all together and repack the snus up there, you will find your own way of doing it.

you will learn how to smile, laugh etc with a prilla in too, once the snus pocket forms it takes care of it, also you will just learn to manage it with the snus in if that makes sense.

Even if it slides, does it really melt down teeth? I hope not. Snus should even slightly influence pH in the mouth and prevent cavities.

Thanks fella's for the replies, I'll keep at it!

Yes Frankie, it usually starts at the ends towards the back and starts melting down my canines/molars. I use about a 2 and a 1/2 click on my 4ml icetool. It really helps in preventing cavities?! That's awesome!

Depends on the particular snus. If you have a good sized mustache it won't really matter, but I'm conscious of it if I'm dealing with new people in a new environment. Close friends and family I don't give a shit really if it's running straight down my teeth. Just get a mustache and don't smile

Dude, the snus turned you upside down. That's what you need to worry about right now.

The photo looks like you are standing on your head. It has you upside down.

I think he's trying to use gravity to keep the prilla in there. That's dedication
