Taboca Portions

I must admit that this has fast become one of my most favorite snus of late. Methinks that as they are made in the same factory as Gul and Jakobsson's that account for the really soft portion material they use. They remind me a lot of Jakobsson's actually, similar flavor but a touch less bitter, last for hours too. You also really can't beat the price on Buysnus, think I'll get another log of this. I sincerely hope that when Klondike gets released it will taste like this.

hey jamesstew - have you tried any of the Montecristo snus?

It's like Taboca and/or Jacobssons' Classic on STEROIDS.

The flavor is awesome. In fact, I need to go grab a portion right now! hehe

I've been wanting to get some for a while now, perhaps with the next order. I have several Cuban Montecristo cigars in my humidor from my last trip overseas, love em.

I've tried both the Taboca and Montecristo, and I do prefer the Montecristo. Also I've tried the Romeo y Juielta. While I like the Rome, I'll grab the Montecristo first.

Taboca is really good, I can't understand why it's so cheap on BuySnus.com.

I can actually taste and smell the fig, which I happen to like, so Taboca became a re-order this evening. Cool can, too.

I like Taboca a lot. I think the can gfx suck, but I like the physical tin itself. I assume it's cheap to get people to try it. It isn't that old, and the maker is a fairly small player.

I don't mind the can graphics, methinks it makes it look like a tin of mints. At least it doesn't have man-head on it like N&J. True, the company is a relatively small player but that may soon change if Klondike snus takes off.

Just popped my first Taboca in right now.

Good stuff! Nice smooth taste. smell reminds me of earl grey tea.

Yes - excellent snus.

The fig and citrus is really getting me going here! I love this and the nic hit is decent and the tobacco flavor itself is nice and it lasts decently as well. Graphics are funny - but tin design is cool. Don't judge a snus by its tin.

Though it is nice to have a cool tin, the snus is good inside (you could always put the Taboca into your 1847 tin - then you'd be good to go. Wash the 1847 tin out first though.)

Question: Is there something different about the portions than most others? To me it seems these are "fluffy". They don't go all slippery like General or 1847 or some other portions.

Does anybody know about this? Coarse tobacco grind? Polyester? Goose down?

I just recently got a tin and am pretty new to snus but I must say Taboca is fairly decent. Most notable is like how soft and fluffy these portions are just like someone else noted. That being said its not a snus that I would use as my regular go to, then again being new I still haven't found out which that would be lol.

Jakobsson's and Gotlandssnus are the same way and are made in the same factory. Methinks I heard something before about how there is not as much propylene glycol and bicarbonate added to the snus. It seems to make sense as that adds to the PH and contributes to the ammonia smell of some snus, something I never pick up in the Taboca or Gotlands products.
