How much do you pay?

I currently pay 1.99 for a can of general mint/general white/original
And 2.50 for nordic mint (.50 cents more per can and half the portions, I dont get these often)
I live in upstate NY and buy on the Indian Rez

I agree that is a pretty wallet-raping snus price.

In-store around here, coffin tins (Nordic Mint & Classic Blend) are about $2.50 and I think the round cans (original portion, white, mint, wintergreen) are close to $4. But last time I bought them they were about $2.50 each as well - wondering if they were having a sale or another case of "mixing up the prices in the computer" .

$17-$20 is the retail price in stores here. I pay significantly less by ordering online but I do buy one here every now and again in order that they keep stocking it. When I first learned about snus I found a store nearby that sold it (much to my surprise - I live in the middle of nowhere) and was happy to be able to try it before committing to order online. The ridiculous tax on smokeless here makes my blood boil.

The regular price here is $3.50 to $3.70 depending on the store. Coupons abound and promotional prices can often be found.

My guess is that the big difference between different states and different countries is not because of competition or supply and demand, but mainly because of different rates of taxation.

I bought a can of Southern Blend during the Christmas holidays because my dip stash ran out and I paid $18 and change. It's a sad state of affairs because many in my area work in agriculture and can't smoke on the job because of silo dust, etc. It used to be that smokeless was readily available but it's being priced out of existence.

I agree Andy. Cigarettes have a huge black market here. Unfortunately smokeless doesn't so I can't find a "dealer" for my fix.
