NICOTINE ABSORPTION!

HI IM A NEW SNUS USER AND LOVING IT!
just wanted to know how long does it take for all the nicotine to filter through to my gums?
i usualy keep it in for about 15mins is that the normal amount.?
and is it bad to have snus in my mouth for say a good 8 hours of the day?

I found that study a few days ago, it's an interesting read. One thing I thought stood out was that they were testing a group of 18-a-day smokers (not all that surprising) with snus users using 16 large portions a day, which seems quite a lot to me.

Maybe I'm just weird for using less!

To answer the question, I personally leave pouches in a fair bit longer than 15 minutes, but as it's pouches I'm using, it's easy to move them around a little and get more flavour out of them.

The bottom line is - are you happy with your 15 minutes? If you are, then that's precisely the best amount of time to take!

Whew... 16 Large Portions a day? Heavy
That's about an average of 16 grams a day. I have read the overall average is about 10 a day.

I had kept track a few days of my intake - rotating between mini and large portions, I have been using about 5 to 8 grams worth a day.

I too, move my pouch after so many minutes, from one side to the other (at times, more than once for each side - especially with the large portions).

I even 'flip them around', pointing the opposite side to the my upper lip, because, I wear a full set of dentures.

I use my pouches anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more.
