They actually do well and its evident because how can a company offer so many flavors with out discontinuations and be asking us which new flavor we would like to try.

I respect your opinion but the Phantom Classic is GREAT in my opinion and The Offroad Original is also Good. Ive only used those in Los.

They are a great company and I hope they continue to thrive. How many companies actually ask people on a forum for input on a new flavor.

yes I'll admit I got a little carried away, but it does have some strange kind of chemical taste, and burn. To me it feels like it's not authentic snus. Is this an american brand?

I would think of it as the Skoal of Snus.

Skoal , if you are fimiliar with American Snuff, has like a million flavors and quite a good bit of people use it. Men and Women both.

Same with Offroad. Tons of variety and flavors. They even offer long cut.

Its not a snus for everyone but is beloved by quite a few on here.

Theres nothing wrong with not liking it. There are people on this board who will agree with you though.

There's some universal truths. Boones Farm isn't good wine, Coors light isn't good beer, and Offroad isn't good snus. There's some fans for sure, but all of those products fail the test when graded against their peers.

I think you over estimate Offroads popularity Grim. Everybody but Swedish Match is a minor player in snus. All the other snus companies compete for the 10% that SM doesn't sell ;^)

Have to disagree about Offroad not being a good snus if we are talking about loose. After master Xobeloot convinced me to try Phantom it has become an everyday snus for me. I've tried the other OffRoad loose flavors and they aren't bad either. It's easy to form and stays together, my mouth is already watering waiting for the loose limited editions. I will say I don't like the portions but am very happy I found V2 loose. Of course SM has most of the market and they make good snus, but they did have a monopoly for many years.

Have to disagree about Offroad not being a good snus if we are talking about loose.

The lös is tolerable, and I truly enjoy the liquorice lös, but I still wouldn't call them good. The flavors are 1 dimensional, and have a certain cheapness to them. Their citrus isn't complicated Like Gotland Gul, or General, it tastes like sweet lemon artificial flavor. What they call juniper flavor, tastes like artificial pine. You can say you like the snus, which is cool, I like Boones Farm sometimes too, but it's not a "quality" snus.

Boones Farm is ok but if you want a real wino wine get some good old Night Train, stay far far away from Mad Dog or Thunder Bird in my humble opinion

I do realize swedish match controls the market but swedish match screws us on tobacco amount and their portions always seem to be slim on tobacoo.

I love Onyx, and a few others. I hadnt had onyx in a while and got some the other day. I opened it and honestly there is little to no tobacco in the pouches.

Skurj pouches and Gotlandssnus pouches are always jam pakced with snus.

Swedish match need to respect us a little more. IMHO.

Thats why i rarely use their products. You pay alot for a little. Sure the quality is great but i want a little more tobacco for what i pay.

There are quite a few companies whos products are of the same quality but cheaper. Plus cardboard cans suck A**!!!!

Simply put, Offroad snus is not top-quality; that is evident right down to the quality of the tins it comes in. That being said, There are many people out there who like it, and it's good to have some variety. I throw some Cranberry and American Wintergreen in my order every once in a while, as well as a few tins of los on occasion (which really is better than the portions, no contest)...

I use Offroad and Phantom pretty much exclusively. I have tried just about every Los there is (sans anything licorice as I dont like that taste), and I have tried lots of the portions.

Offroad and Phantom just make my mouth happy.

We could have the Cake vs. Pie debate for an eternity, but it all boils down to whether you like cake or pie better.

There is always the desire to have people feel the same way as you. I love the fact that many people are now trying the OR and Phantom flavors and enjoying them. At the same time, it will not upset me if you don't like them. There are LOTS of snus tastes out there that do nothing but leave me craving a fat pris of Phantom.
