    Hygeinic way to insert snus?

I want to be able to put portioned snus in my mouth without sticking my fingers in my mouth or getting residue on my fingers.

Is there something more purpose made than say tweezers? I would really like a Snus accessory for this but cant find it on northerner.

You would be looking for an Icetool. http://us.northerner.com/accessories...r-3ml-int.html

If you don't want to spend $30, you can go to Walgreens or any other pharmacy and purchase a child dosage 3ml syringe for around $3.

    Welcome to the forum!

I dont see how a syringe could help.

I am thinking something in between tweezers and tongs.

I have found loose snus to be very messy, I get nicotine all over my hands when making it.

But when using it I get sticky fingers, it doesnt stay in 1 peice when I take it out, it also gets stuck between my teeth. I dont see the appeal in loose snus.

I have a friend that takes the portion out of the can and puts it directly in the mouth, then he fluffs it pushing with the tongue on the palate; finally, he positions it.
Personally I don't like touching the snus directly with the tongue, but it's definitely an hygienic and discrete way.

I've used both if these methods. Touching the portions with fingers or tongue doesn't phase me since I've been dipping for 20 yrs.

Isn't that why we have opposable thumbs? I just glance down on occasion to make sure there's no mustard on my fingers, before putting snus in my mouth.

I put it on my tongue then push it up under my lip, I use my tongue to move it about if it needs repositioning, only time I touch it is when taking out of the can or when taking it out of my mouth.

Okay I guess I will stick to portions.

I really dont understand why they are almost square though, they overlap my teeth.

I guess I will roll them up before getting in to the car.

You will develop a snus pocket in time, so the portion will sit higher up and not on your teeth.

So I guess you must have an antiseptic tongue like a dog (which is a myth btw). I actually use my fingers because I want the portion dry and tucked high and tight in the perfect position without have to worry about fussing with it later.

My left side works fine for folding a portion in half, as I have developed a nice pocket. The right not so much.

I'm curious what the OP does with his hands that he or she doesn't want to touch the portions before placing them in his or her mouth? I'm guessing biting his or her fingernails is out of the question, lol.

I'd recommend dipping your tongue directly into the can and when the portion sticks to it, retract it into your mouth. Sounds crazy, but I have done it when my hands are nasty from working on the car, yard or most any other project. I'm actually getting pretty good at it, lol
