Some good news, for a change ( i think )

Well i think this is good news . From the Europa press release: tobacco products, such as cigars, cigarillos and smokeless products are exempted from the ban on characterising flavours. This exemption will be removed if there is a substantial change in circumstances (in terms of sales volumes or prevalence levels among young people). Tobacco for oral use (Snus) is exempted from this ban, as well as from certain other provisions regulating ingredients. Additives necessary for the manufacture of tobacco products, including sugar lost during the curing process, can continue to be used.

I think this means that Snus will continue to be made as is, which inlcudes the use of flavourings and the precious e500 !

I think that Sweden will continue to make Snus in any flavor they like,no matter what the E.U. bully boys decide.
A ban on flavored Snus, would upset Swedes in a big way.Akin to Australians being told that the ingredients of Vegemite must not include yeast. E.U. SOD OFF!
