So in conclusion its not the habit, its tobacco and all of its chemical components that i like.

Honestly im done with my PV for now and feel good about it. Works for some people but not so much for me. If i really need a puff, I have a few Acid Blondies in the humidor.

I reckon that WTA business is a barrell o' shite . I didn't notice any difference from regular liquid except a harsher throat hit

There is something to be said for the satisfaction effect of whole tobacco as opposed to just nicotine. Whether these WTA e-liquids successfully extract and deliver those other compounds is a different matter on which I have no knowledge at all.

If I compare the effect and satisfaction on myself between a commercially available stark snus (what I normally use), and my home-made twist chew bites made from Rustica tobacco and nothing else, I find a big difference in satiety. Snus is chemically altered to freebase the nicotine, making far more of it available to absorb through the lip - the Rustica twist technically contains a whole lot more nicotine, but this nicotine is slightly acidic which means that a far smaller percentage of it is available for the lip to absorb ... the upshot is that the Rustica twist takes longer to get going and deliver the nicotine, but once it gets going it feels about the same strength. However - I find the satisfaction I get from the non-freebased tobacco much more complete ... and I regularly end up 2 or 3 hours down the line thinking "why haven't I changed my snus for a fresh one" and then being surprised that it's a twist bite instead and not actually craving anything.

I think it's a step in the right direction and wouldn't dare say the one vendor who is selling it is a fraud by any means. I think more companies need to put some funds into developing the idea further and make it more effective.

I agree, the more that any e-cig juice can emulate the real thing the better form a satiety standpoint that is. My concern with e-cigs was also the purity of the e-liguid. Was I vaping anything that was not listed on the ingredients list and was the heating element passing thru potentially harmful metals?

Yes and no. First, the jury is still out with regards to any metal being present in the vapor. Most people arent really concerned with it. The thought is even if some of the metals would break off and disolve in the liquid the coil doens't get hot enough to vaporize the metal. If it got anywhere the temperature to vaporize metal you would have a much more eminent crisis on you hands. 😄

Second is flavoring. Juice vendors list 'natural and artificial flavoring' as an ingredient. It could one ingredient or 12 to make a flavor. So technically yeah, your vaping the unknown.

There are alot of vendors who will give you the full ingredient list if you email them and you can reseach the flavors yourself. You can also DIY you own juice or just vape unflavored (it has a nice subtle sweetness to it).

tl:dr and now ive went totally off topic. Sorry

Agree, I think I could find the right juice and equipment but I just wan't passionate enough to do the search given the lack of pleasure I received from vaping. I think my e-cig setup was rudimentary at best.

From my experience (im still trying to low down the level of nicotine) is to not use a lot after switch, the nicotine from snus weara down slower so if you do more than half a can a day you will be more addicted. Butni know that 5-10 snuses a day is diferrent than chain smoking and ita hard. And remember, snus is not the eay to quit tobacco its just replacing ! I was scared cause my postman dont come on saturdays and sundays and my shop didnt confirmed the delivery. But it arrived ufff

Yes, snusing is nicotine replacement. Everyone's experience is different. Snus is the easy way to quit smoking because you are getting the nicotine you need without needing to smoke. Most people on this site want to quit smoking because of the harmful effects of using smoking as the delivery system to receive nicotine not the nicotine itself. I have to laugh at some of the commercials in the U.S. with some guy that can hardly breath and has a really rough smokers voice stating that he couldn't understand quitting smoking using a nicotine replacement, as it is still nicotine. Hey fella, if you snused instead of smoking you wouldn't be straining to breath or sound like you have a bag of gravel in your throat. Be interesting to know, how that Chantix went for him. I know a handful of people that tried Chantix and it was a major fail for all of them with negative side effects when using. The first step is to replace smoking with a safer alternative like snus then step down the strength of your nicotine replacement over time (if you want to quit). I have found that the best way for me to quit nicotine was cold turkey and I went years without any nicotine but not everyone can do this, not bragging and it wasn't easy just doable. I snus because I think the health risks are very minimal and I don't feel any negative issues, so until I feel differently on one or both of those fronts I will continue to snus and enjoy it immensely.

Maybe it is just me but I just prefer easy and natural over complicated and automated. Something about using a battery powered contraption with a funny light on the end seemed weird to me. I just think vaping also comes across to others as mildly creepy/pathetic. I can't really put my finger on it but tiring would sum it up pretty well for me as well with having to refill, recharge, and replace cartomizers.

Well put piks, I would add that the long term success rate of patches, Chantix, etc, appears to be very low. A few years ago my doctor prescribed Chantix for me to quit cigs, so I went surfing for reviews and feed back......found very negative reviews and one reviewer said that one dose of Chanrix screwed him up "permanently"........I never used the stuff.......snus just isn't that bad ....

After reading the side effects and case studies of the bad things regarding Chantix i decided Camel lights were the healthier option at the time.
