It was mentioned in another thread, but I've been enjoying this snus tonight. It's delicious, I can't believe how cheap it is. It's pretty similar to Gotesborgs Rape, but I actually prefer its milder fruity flavour. Nice tobacco coming through too.

Originally posted by TBDYeah the lös is better. Pretty similar, the lös just seems to have more.... I can't describe any better than that.
It's on the coarse side, and as TBD said, more of what's in the portions. I haven't had the portions in awhile. I've got them in the freezer, just been on other things. I remember the portions having a lighter(read brighter, crisp perhaps) flavor than the lös.

I'm glad I did, lx's description sounds like my kind of snus! 8) 8)
It could be argued that a product that uses heavy flavors does so to cover cheap tobacco, but there's plenty of quality snuses that use heavy flavoring. I like the LD due to the heavy, almost pure bergamot flavor. It's the purest bergamot I've run into. As to the under filled portions... Well, nobody's perfect :^D Cuts have to be made somewhere with a discount product. I think LD's pluses outweigh the few negatives. If you like LD portions, and you like lös snus, you should love the LD lös. There's a few citrus based snuses I like after my favorite Gotland Gul, but I think the LD is my favorite of them.

When I first joined here, there seemed to be a firm anti LD sentiment running, and I never understood it. The complaints I could see are the portions are perhaps under filled, and the flavor might be too strong for some.

LD Blue was was awesome; one of my favorite portions in fact. It had all the physical characteristics of LD Red, and the flavor was fairly salty, with a *very* distinct juniper flavor.
You know how the Rapé's supposed to be juniper? It tastes more like gin to me. Kind of an ambiguous juniper taste. The LD blue tasted like you were chewing on a juniper branch. Very fresh and evergreeny. I don't know if the flavor was natural, but it tasted like it to me. LD Blue is one of the snuses I miss most :^(

I like LD los but there are just other brands in the same family of taste that I like more (Granit for example or Phantom Regular). That said I would use LD los before General. The flavor-cost ratio is not worth the extra expense for General.
I guess my quest is to narrow down the best of each “type” of snus (taking into consideration both flavor type and cost). For me LD is an OK los but there are others that just out play itWhen it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Ok, I am going to have to throw a can of LD and Granit lös into my next order to see what all the fuss is about. I enjoy General so I'd like to see how the "budget" brands compare. The LD in particular sounds interesting as I get the impression it is more bergamot-y than other snus with that type of flavour profile...
On a side note I do not share the love for Gustavus at all. I found it far too flowery and got bored with the taste before I finished the can.

Just finished my first prilla of LD lös
yum yum 8) It lasted 3 hours. I'm used to being able to abuse portions so the lös wasn't as flavorful at the beginning but as soon as it got saturated it started to slowly dissolve and then I started to get the flavor. I just left it alone and let it do it's thing and it got smaller and smaller until at the end of 3 hours there was very little of any left to remove.
Now I'm enjoying my very first prilla of GES lös
