Well in response to it being sweet, if you had any of the long cut redman blends then its either wintergreen or straight.
Now i have no clue as to why tobacco companies here consider a sugar sweet candy taste a straight tobacco flavor.
Natural on the other hand is fine cut and is not sweet at all. Thats why it replaced copenhagen for me.
Now i would imagine it messes your mouth up more because of how abrasive the texture of dip is.
Its not fluffy or soft at all. Its almost like sand grains ( just an analogy ) so it will do more abrasive damage to the gum if you play with dip in your gums as I did.
I also found that with dip i would only leave it in about 30-45 mins then spit it out and repeat 10 mins later or so.
I would go through a can of dip in 2 days and had buddies that would finish a can a day.
So overall my opinion is that more frequent use, more abrasive texture and some chemicals not found in snus contribute to more gum damage from American Snuff.
