Or you could always smoke tobacco for a while until you feel ready to make the transition over to any alternatives. Or, god forbid quit nicotine completely!

if i remember correctly the OP was not a smoker before starting snus use , so this would be not be a good idea!

I for a while experimented with drinking yerba mate which i don't recommend as such but it really mate snus tobacco satisfying. But it made me sleep too much. But real restful sleep.

I seem to have another dilemma! I notice that seriously any other brand other than swedish match doesn't satisfy me fully, i think i am more addicted to the alkaloids or something.
Does anyone else notice subtle differences in effects from different products too or am i alone in this, i guess i have this psychic gift, i can feel differences in my perception of anything psychoactive i take. Even water i will feel 'mentally'.
Knox makes me kind of irritable, granit makes me kinda depressed and worried, LD feels meh. But even a swedish match budget snus like Kaliber puts me in the zone like for example a General does but General does it even better.
Am i alone in this? I wish i could really enjoy other brands and switch it up but it seems i can't, atleast not for long.

have a google on l-theanine and glycine supplements. they may help you feel better. the l-theanine for sure has a nice synergy with snus so you get a nice feeling in your lip. I am on 600mg a day but i don't think i would go any higher or i would gurn like a pillhead lol it's just a harmless amino acid found in tea but does wonders for some people.

if you wanted to get more radical you could experiment with [edited out - PM for details] though it is like a mild-opiate so addictive like coffee if done more than say once a week... or if you have sleeping problems you could try melatonin which is a harmless hormone that is said to regulate sleep... YMMV.

Hmm it happend again, i think i might of been in nicotine withdrawal this whole time, i chain snused a bit today and i started to feel relief, i've felt like ive been in a dream world for a while and just messed up mentally, and it felt like i couldn't see thru my right eye and my forehead or whatever had a strange sensation and i felt like i couldn't filter out information or whatever.. i thought it was the benzo, had some other weird stuff too, is this nic withdrawal? I've only snused for about a year. I think i have to keep my use at a more steady level.

Thought i would bump this as I may have something to add.... I have had a very up and down time with snus... it stopped me wanting smoke more effectively than anything else , but would make me very depressed anxious and panicky a lot of the time ... sometimes i would put a pris in and would feel great others , boom , panick attack ... also it made have cigarette cravings sometimes more often than not just a panick feeling or feeling very depressed low sleepy , emotional , basically i was a pregnant woman. Well about a week ago i realised i hadn't taken my anti depressant for two days because i just forgot , and i also noticed that snus was not having these effects on me ... as an experiment i stayed off the anti- depressant and so far snus has not caused me to have any of these 'episodes' early days yet and it could be coincidence , maybe the anti-depressant was just doing all those wonderful things by itself idk , all I know is i can use snus now, in the last week , since stopping it , although i am in withdrawal from the anit-depressant now , which isn't much fun but i feel better than i did

a bit of amateur pharmacology and suggests to me that maybe the MAOI effect was interacting with the ssri and giving me a bad case of brain pain
                              idk i really don't
