General Kardus 2015

Wow! Kardus is back then ... and at over $100 for a 150g can it's about as expensive as it gets in it's beautiful new guilder can. Despite that I would get some like a shot if it was possible for me over here in the UK. Why? Because Kardus has proved itself year after year to be some of the most unbelievably amazing snus ever produced ... because tobacco is has some of the most varied, mature and amazing flavours the palate can know ... and because I'm worth it dammit!

Sadly - it looks as if I can't even get a sniff of this stuff without a flight to Sweden this Xmas which ain't going to happen unfortunately.

So if anyone was wondering what I wanted for Christmas this year ...

I wonder if they will keep doing a kardus version of different SM brands or stick wit General for a few years in a row. It's pretty obvious that they're doing a lot to hype the General brand, especially outside of Sweden. I have trouble believing that they would let the General Kardus die quietly without being sold outside Sweden. That would be letting go of an opportunity to further tout General as a premium snuff to overseas customers.

Just my 2c.... mostly speculation. Still, maybe next year.

It will be available in the US via Snuscentral according to their website ... Swedish Match have placed a strict ban on any of their products being sold to all EU countries and it's technically impossible to buy here in the UK.

A coworker of mine helped hand select some of the tobacco that went into making it, so he's supposed to get a tin for the contribution. Hopefully I'll get a taste, fingers crossed of course. $100+ is a tough one to swallow for a tin of snus. Potentially worth it if it's as good as I've heard. But not an everyday kind of snus. Thats too rich for my blood.

It's cheaper than beer. A pint of beer is ~$6, and lasts 15-30 minutes. 73¢ for 30 minutes is a bargain, and that's if you're being extravagant. It should actually last you more than an hour.

I put a preorder in. I checked again about an hour after I paid, and it was sold out.

Don't get my wrong, I'm already pretty underprivileged and poor.

I had to decide between Kardus or eating this month. I chose Kardus.
