The GN bait and switch? Odens.....

I keep reading reports about GN packs or odens being short on portions. I've seen the complaint on here, and I have read reviews from snus store product reviews. Odens so far beats general or any other snuses I have tried (which aren't many) but I did re order some Odens Cold Dry on a recent sale given with how impressed I was

On snus central the site advertised 14 portions per can. So far all the cans I have opened contains 12! Doesn't seem like a big deal, but when I ordered 3 rolls and every pack is skimped......it equals 4 cans worth of snus I thought I was getting!

I emailed snus central and they updated their site, gave me a coupon, but also explained to me that GN goes by weight for their snus. They don't advertise to buysnus, snuscentral, or anyone else how many portions you will get. They simply put a weight and it averages around 14 portions or so.

Just thought you all would enjoy this news. I'll put it to the test next time I'm at work and use a scale to see if its 10 grams indeed.

Odens No 3 has 18 portions.

Odens 69 had much less but the portions lasted forever.

The price is very very cheap for great quality.

This is nothing new, GN has always sold its snus by weight, they have never advertised a certain number of portions per can.

its the snus shops fault for putting that on their sites, not GN.

Oden's portion cans always looked full to me. I've never counted. The portions are a little bigger than some other's.

Yeah GN has always had fewer portions in number, but you get fuller portions. Also, they're stronger and cheaper.

I don't understand why everyone who worries about being gypped on portions doesn't just buy GN los and some tea bags. Their los seems very reasonably priced.

agreed or buy a scale and check the weight of every can of snus. You can't trust anyone!!!!!!

Smaller pouches mean they get "more" even though it's the same weight.

I was making a joke. Heheh

I don't know, I have always had mixed feelings about this...even though you may be getting the same weight, the fact of the matter is portions are used (at least for most of us) one at a time. So if I use 7 portions a day, a can of one brand lasts a day longer than another for the most part...a roll roughly 10 days longer. The lower price does compensate to a large degree but if you need to order more frequently and can't afford huge purchases then the additional shipment costs in many ways minimize the lower cost per can benefit.

With all that being said however, let me go get my can of Oden's White Dry 69 portions since it is still one of my favorites and taste will always win no matter what the unit price...
