    starting to love white portions!

i started out with dip pouches, then dipped longcut for the longest time and it became my favorite. then i moved to loose snus, then i tried original portions, which i ended up liking for the convenience and less messy-ness. now i started using general sterk and have been enjoying it for a while. i already loved general onyx from the beginning. white portions are alot better for me because they don't run nearly as much and i can position them with my tongue without the fear of them running on me. plus they don't change taste or start to smell too funky when they are left out of the fridge. this was a problem for me because i used to have to put my snus in people's fridge when i went to their houses because it started to taste weird and smell weird. with white portions i can carry them around in my pocket without them getting weird on me. i was very skeptical of them in the beginning because i thought they seemed like they would be weak or something. the nicotine hit is a little bit prolonged but i like it that way. i wonder what whites to order next? i have only had experience with general sterk and onyx. i'd prefer something fairly strong. i might have to try the nick and johnny whites. any suggestions on what to try next? anyone else share similar opinions?
sorry for the wall of text.

I like a lot of white portions too... Roda Lacket is one of my favorites, but it's not that strong... Catch Euc and Licorice are two of my favorites as well...

I liked white portions when i first started using portion snus.

Then I tried the originals and never went back.

I always felt that secretly swedish match and other companies were laughing behind our backs because the white portions cost more, seem to have less tobacco and are mostly paper.

I just like a strong flavor profile with snus and white portions didnt deliver that to me.

Thats why i usually only use regualr portions and Los snus now.

Ive had to cut back on my Los usage because i hardly get a chance anymore. I still use it but just not exclusively like i have been doing for the past month or so.

As far as flavor goes, Roda Lacket is the shit.

I also love whites... for a while I preferred them over regulars, but now I like them both about the same. I second the suggestion to try N&J West.. that's my favorite white portion by a mile. I also enjoy the "smooth" taste & texture of Roda Lacket.

Probably my *least* favorite white portion is General White. I picked up my first tin today from a local retailer in Cali, and it's just not doing it for me. Tastes chalky. The General Sterk White is much better.

I hardly touched whites at all my first 14 months of using snus, then about 5 - 6 months ago, the flavors of regulars all started getting too strong on me suddenly, and I do mean suddenly, like they turned in a matter of weeks.

I tried whites, and suddenly, just preferred the more mellow come on of the whites. It was literally as if someone threw a light switch on my snus taste buds, it really was that sudden.

Have been using mostly whites since then. I throw a regular in every once in a while to mix it up,

lol, i feel your pain, sagedill. i work my ass off in a bakery and it requires alot of nicotine and caffeine to make it through the day, plus i have manic bipolar, which makes me a complete insomniac. my shrink actually told me nicotine help my bipolar and obsessive compulsive disorder(it's pretty severe).. the strange way was how my shrink put me on an experimental program with nicotine patches and it almost completely deminished the severity of my OCD traits.. it's actually saved my sanity. i started dipping because it was more enjoyable than patches and seemed to work better and was far less expensive... i was an experienced dipper when i moved to snus... and it's great how nicotine has actually saved my sanity. i swear it really works.. i struggled for years on different medication. although we all know nicotine is a double edged sword... possibly some of the most addictive shit in the world. but it's an interesting story i thought i'd share.

That makes some sense to me scythespawn.

I too use nicotine for medical reasons. They have discovered over the past 5 years that nicotine is as effective as Ritalin in treating ADHD. If you do a search on ADHD, you will see the links to information on the research I have posted here before. As an ex meth head (twenty years ago), I simply don't trust myself with handling taking amphetamines as medication. I WOULD abuse again, I have NO doubt.

Without nicotine, I am utterly lost and dazed in the world, almost unable to function at all. The difference with vs without is major. I am just so grateful I found snus 19 months ago, so I can get the nicotine that helps me thrive without destroying my lungs.
