No smoke additive is a huge plus for me. I think I may be the only one on here with this particular affliction but it rules out how often I can enjoy many of the brands I really like.

I am into a tin of Pall Mall and enjoying it too. Quite a clean and pure tobacco taste, not much other stuff. Level taste and long lasting. Almost reminds me of Tre Ankare, which is basically tobacco with no pretensions. I will get Pall Mall again for sure. The tin is electric blue and flimsy, but whatever.

You mustve had the white portion.

I didnt get the tre ankare flavor with the original portions. But i did get a natural tobacco and bergamot taste with the original.

I agree though that the can is somewhat cheapish.

It has a sloped lid design, if that makes sense, but i wouldve liked to have seem BAT do another metal tin similar to luckys.

Ive tried most snus out there and I try to make reviews in such a manner where people can relate to them.

I wish I could get a free can , lol, but im not asking for one.

I just enjoy good snus and great companies and when one comes out with a great snus that makes me happy.

And when companies get involved on the forums here such as V2 and Gotlands, that shows dedication to their customers instead of just mass producing average grade snus and putting a new name on it and expect us to buy it.

Thats why I strongly support V2 and will Strongly support gotlands if they will ever make a Jakobssons Los.
Well said Grim - you're a class act.

I am amazed that they are trying to revive this very old, and very worn brand name.

Folks in my generation know plenty of literally die hard pall mall fans. My grandmother (God rest her soul) is currently 6 feet under thanks to Pall Mall cigarettes. Lymphoma is a horrendous way to go out of this world. She had the best medical care possible at the time in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, but she was a smoker to the bitter end. I can remember how nasty the sidestream smoke from those beastly cigarettes were. And to think, when they hit the market big time in the 50s and 60s, they were known for being "mild"..... "travels the smoke further" .... Just seeing that logo infuriates me. Almost as bad as the Kent micronite filter. I can only imagine how someone thought it was a good idea to use asbestos in the filter of a cigarette.

First of all Pall Mall never needed reviving, its been around and its still quite popular believe it or not.

Besides this is snus, made to the same high standards as all other snus by accordance to swedish law.

I can not sympithize with you as I havent lost anyone in my family to cigs, but i understand your point and out of respect agree with you about cigs.

But this is snus and it just so happens its has the pall mall name. That jsut seems to be more of a marketing scheme to garner attention to a new snus from another company doing its damnedest to compete with swedish match.

In other words, you can empathize with him. That's a nice thing.

Several members of my family have died from cigarettes (Kool, Winston, and Camel are the brands they smoked). I wish snus was available in America during their lifetime, because they still would most likely be a alive if they picked up on the habit. My great uncle now uses Grizzly because he was diagnosed with emphysema.

The real shame in it all was the knowledge of the dangers that were held back for many years, and the steadfast refusal to promote less harmful products that allow more than 7% of the regular smokers to successfully get off the smokes.

People are dying every day due to the quit or die mantra hammered incessantly in the US market....... How about let's try and get these people off smoking and onto something less harmful, then later we can get them off that too if we can.

Tried the whites only so far. So so. 1847, Lucky Strike, LD white, and now Pall Mall. There seems to be a trend with this saltier, some what citrus/smoky flavor profile. It’s not that I dislike these brands, but they all are pretty close in flavor to me.

Yeah, too me Lucky Strikes have the Pall Mall flavor but a heavy smoke flavor.

According to the ingredients list on pall mall there is no smoke flavor so you just get that tradional snus flavor profile that most snus has but too me it has that lil bit of saltiness i like in snus and isnt too heavy on the bergamot.

                          plus its not bitter.

Makes sense as General is the market leader.

yeah, but general goes with a pepper taste that the "cigarette" flavored snus seems to be absent of. i hated that pepper taste at first...now i kind of like it. another thing about pall mall et al, do you guys find it to be a tad on the lower end of nic?

I've been snusing the Pall Mall whites for a couple of days, and it does taste fairly similar to Tre Ankare and Kronan to me.....although I would say that it tastes better than those two brands. I noticed the cheap tin, also....sometimes it's hard to get the lid back on because it's so flimsy.

                                All in all?

                                Meh.

It has an average taste, but cost as much as my favorites, which is considered a premium price. Maybe I'll try out the regulars, but I don't think I'll be too impressed.
