My first foray into the land of the los.

I can't say I was a portion snob, I just thought portion would be more conducive to my lifestyle. After reading a bunch on here, I decided it would take trying some various loose stuff to complete my snus education and get the full experience. MY roll of Roda Vit [stoked!] came today, and to my surprise my 4 can, 2 prismaster los order that I'd shipped only 3 days ago. I got a Phantom blue los, a G. Prima Fint, a Roda loose and a Probe loose. The Probe had a mid-Oct date, so I threw everything else in the fridge and started there. Color me surprised and exicited. The Prismaster is a cool device that far exceeds it's sub $2 USD pricetag. And the Probe! For a snus that sounds more like a medical nightmare "Probe loose", it's delicious. I have a couple days off, so it's video games and los experimentation for the next 48. I'm hooked on portion for daily use and for work and being out and about, but I think los will be tops for hanging out, fishing etc. I'll keep you fellows posted.

Let us know what you think of the others, cause I haven't tried those yet. I like los most of the time, and right now Skruf Stark is my favorite. Goteborgs Rape and General Original are 2 and 3 for me.

Prismaster = awesome. Cause I hate the brown finger mess from hand baking (plus I suck at it).

I still use on occasion and whenever i can.

Phantom Los is my staple but at the moment its Luckt Strike Portions until i get the free time to enjoy that los bliss.

V2 and BAT are my staple companies at the moment.

Yeah Grim I'd read Xobeloot, yourself and some others liking the Phantom blue los, and I've generally liked all the V2 stuff so far. I cracked open the phantom blue a few min. ago. It smelled kind of 'freezerburnt', but that wasn't the case, it's good, and seems to stay together better than the probe so far.

I wouldn't say I'm a lös snob, but I've definitely been on a lös kick for a while now; I might have used 3 portions in 6 weeks...

With that in mind, I've kind of become a SM snob though, I've tucked my Phantom away in the fridge for the past couple days, and I've really been enjoying my Ettan and Röda Lacket. OTOH, I've also had a few pinches of that Offroad LC Pure Tobacco. It's nice when I want to give my upper lip a break, and to be honest, it's pretty low in salt. Anyway, congrats on your success with the lös, and keep at it, it's not really that hard to keep it neat enough to use anytime you like.

Quick update: Roda Lacket loose=awesome. Still very much liking the Probe too. Phantom Blue los is good as well. I'm surprised to find that my least favorite of the bunch is Goteborgs Prima Fint, I mean it's good, just not what I expected, very much a classic tobacco flavor. I'll order Roda Lacket anything, Probe los will be in tomorrow's order too. Gonna throw in a few OffRoad American Wintergreens and a los Icemint also. As for portion, I'm up to my ears in the stuff and probably won't need to replenish until after the holidays.

Pony: I have to stand by you on this one. RL Los is a wonderful snus.

It starts off very mellow, but once you pass 20,30,40+ mins it just starts getting more and more flavorful.

Probably the only SM product that I'd still order.

I'm not a fan of Röda Lacket lös or portion. They're both alright, but nothing I need to get again. I'm not a fan of white portions, and I don't care for the fine grind of the lös. I doubt I'll ever get a finely ground snus again, other than to try a new make that gets put on the market.

I was dissapointed with rl. It's easy to handbake, but mudslides, or dissolves in a short period of time. The taste is kind of bland. . .
