Elxyer- Power...

OK- got my latest roll from BuySnus. Thought I would try the discounted Elxyer (however it is spelled) and was excited. The excitment quckly turned to disgust with the first whiff of the open can. The shit smells like Pine-Sol cleaner and tastes the same. As far as powerful goes- the only power in the stuff is the cleaning agent they used for aroma. Knox gives a much bigger kick and tastes a whole lot better.

Now I know why they discounted the rolls. No one is buying the crap.

On another topic. I did buy the new Red Man snuff. Natural and Wintergreen. Not too bad. I like the Wintergreen. Isn't the new RedMan snuff made with very low TSNA levels?

Anyway, don't waste your time with Elxyer. It is crap.

I recently tried it also. I figured, 'How bad could it be?' :?: Now I know. You're far too kind in your assessment. I couldn't imagine snus any worse than this. It makes Grand Prix (which I thought was horrible) seem like manna from heaven.

I will never tell you that I enjoy the taste of these things, but I will tell you that I love popping one as soon as I wake up and being wide awake by the time I've showered and the dog has crapped.

Then I pop a fat pris of whatever other snus I want and the elixyr gets stored for another day.

BTW- I have tried both Red Man fine cut and long cut. I prefer the long cut. That's what I always used to use.

I also ordered a roll of this with buysnus.com's 30% discount, and it arrived today. I just tried my first portion about 30mins ago, with low expectations, and was surprised to find that I actually like this flavor so far.

Xobeloot, give up even trying. I'll be honest, these threads are starting to bug me. Not that I care what snus people use, but every time I see someone posts another thread that starts off trashing how Elyxr tastes, and thinking they are adding something to the discussion, I just sigh because they clearly haven't bothered to read any of the, what is it now, 10 threads on the same subject.

I'm glad people's lives are easier than mine. I average, at best, 6 hours sleep a night. I'm sure if I hadn't discovered Elyxr, I probably would be dead by now from crashing my bike on my way to work.

Yes, Elyxr is amazing in how effective it works. Yes, it's a shame that people won't take a minute to try and figure out what Elyxr can do for you, and understand what caffeine will ALWAYS do to the taste of something like snus.

But the funniest part, what people say about Elyxr is the same damn thing people said about Red Bull when It first came out. Another product that crashed and burned cause it tasted horrible LOL.

Sorry for the cranky post, unlike me here usually. But I am just tired of people just trashing Elyxr without understanding what it is and what it is trying to be.

Well, I am almost through my first can, and what I always say is true:

"If you live with something long enough, you will learn to enjoy it"

And I think that is an original quote, I don't ever remember reading it or hearing it anywhere. And, it applies to all aspects of life, even torture and captivity- anyone hear of the "Stockholm syndrome?"

So, I have had enough portions of the Vick Vapor Rub to, well, actually, not mind it now. And... I am sure I will grow to love it...eventually.

I think the problem with this stuff may be in the marketing? If a traditional snus user poops a portion of this stuff in- it is a SHOCK to the system. They probably need to explain the product better, IMHO. With some better marketing, sagedil might be vindicated.

Marv, ANYBODY who has seriously tried Elyxr, and already has an affinity for such things as energy drinks, absolutely raves about it's effectiveness. Although I probably was the first, cause I bought it the day it was announced, and have been raving about it's effectiveness ever since.

People joke about me, cause at one time, I was probably the ONLY person on Snuson who had anything good to say about Elyxr. But as the few who ventured after me and really tried it for what it was, have all come back and said..."Now I get it"

I have talked about this on so many threads...But once again.

Yes, Elyxr tastes like crap, I say it tastes like a**. OK, we have that established. But OMG, she is SO effective. I pop one in as soon as I am up, often then go crash in bed again for a while. Finally, I can drag myself to the shower, and I pop a 2nd. By the time I am walking out the door, I feel great...regardless if I just had 3 hours sleep the night before!!!

And I ride a motorcycle to work, it is CRITICAL that I am on my game from the moment I start the bike!!

Yes, I could make coffee at home, yes, I could stop for coffee...but I just don't have time. I already get so little sleep, I often am not up until 20 minutes before I am out the door.

And lets stalk cost...what $3 per can, equivalent to 24 cups of coffee. Now which is the cheapest solution.

Now when I get to work, I make a great pot of coffee that I drink most of the day

SO.....if you drink energy drinks like they are water. If you can not function without caffeine first thing in the morning, try Elyxr. But know this first, it will taste bad. It will taste like a** even!! Accept it, it is not like a normal snus!! But when you start to feel great, then pop that Nick & Johnny in, and I promise you, the world will feel grand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But yes, it tastes like a**...you will get used to it, almost even look forward to it.

And everyone else, yes, we know how Elyxr tastes.

sagedil...thanks for the reply. off topic, but you need some sleep bro. Just from hanging around here and seeing your posts, you sound like you are one foot away from falling off a cliff brother. Get some sleep and exercise- you will feel much better. Make time for both- I got a wife, 3 young kids, a full-time career, and a part time career- it can be done.

Don't mean to be nosy- I can't help it. I am a counselor by trade...

marv, thanks for you concern. And I am wide open here, so I appreciate folks being unafraid doing the same with me.

Exercise I get...usually..I am recovered from a bad wrist sprain fro a minor mishap on the bike, so should get back to the gym by this weekend. I make time for that regardless.

I agree, and this stage, as bad as it is, is temporary. Already I am spending less time with my friend, so as to make sure she gets her sleep. I am just in a "temporary" REALLY hard time with my work. New job, and I knew when I stepped in that I would be walking into crisis. But if I can't get enough classes sold, my company will be out of business in 3 months. This really is a make or break situation. My boss took a gamble that went bad, and basically drained our company of any excess cash. Now we are faced with literally, earning our way until the end of the year.

But I have faith in myself, I have 6 people signed up already thee past 2 weeks. Have brought in $7000 this past 2 weeks, with another $18000 that will be charged over the next 2 months. I just need 32 - 34 more people over the next 3 months, and we will be fine. I have been averaging 3 a week this past two weeks. If I just keep that up, there is my 33.

But I am working until 11:00 tonight, won't be home until midnight, will be lucky to be in bed by 1:00. and I won't let go and sleep probably until 2:00. Alarm will go off at 8:00. Yeah, sucks. But it is what it is. I will sleep when my boss is no longer panicked. I owe her that much.
