Really sucks but I had to quit snus and smoking entirely. I've been on the patch, using Thrive lozenges and sticking minty gum in my lip's snus pocket. Almost a month and a half and gets slightly easier each day.
Reason I had to stop outright was I developed a weird twitch on my upper left lip. If I was nervous, angry, annoyed, or just not getting enough nicotine the tick would be triggered. I knew it was going on, but then caught myself in the mirror twitching like a mother****er. It looked ridiculous :/ It took almost 3 weeks for the twitching to stop, so I'm glad this wasn't a permanent thing.
I suspect I brought this on myself from chain snusing Thunders (used to buy 30 cans a month from Snusline) when I wasn't one-per-hour smoking at work...
It's too bad, I enjoyed snus a lot, but it's time to move on and slowly ween myself off vitamin N. It's nice not having the rage of a 100% Canadian customs mark-up charge, or enduring the exorbitant Canadian taxes on snus sold in the nearby gas station ($18 a ****ing can)...
Not trying to troll, just wanted to let you all know of the dangers of chain snusing the stronger brands.Last edited by Stoobroney; 08-04-15, 11:58 PM.

Makes perfect sense for me to quit snus.
Not trying to preach or be a smug i-quit-and-so-must-you type -- I like this board and wish snus was less stigmatized and more widely available. Vastly superior in all aspects over smoking cigarettes. But my overdoing of strong portions coupled with Canada's crippling tobacco laws had me fed up.
The patch is to slowly reduce the extraordinary amount of nicotine in my system, and so that I don't break down to buy a $12 pack of cigarettes or $18 can of general. A cold-turkey nicotine quit would've been too uncomfortable.
I'm just sharing a don't-do-what-I-did story; snus responsibly and don't overdo the 12/mg portions or else you might develop a ridiculous looking involuntary twitch between snus orders.
