The chocolate thing is quite subtle with Ettan - it's more of an aroma than a taste and it's more an aroma of strong dark cocoa rather than confectionery chocolate. I think it tastes a bit leathery myself. I'm not much of a Grov fan myself either ... I prefer herbal bergamot type snus flavours or spicy ones with liquorice and cinnamon - which luckily there are plenty of.

Definitly more of an aroma thing and I'm told it's mainly with the portions. I hear the los is even milder. Taste wise it by no means tastes like hersheys, but neither does the smell. It just smells like pure cocoa or dark dark chocolate.

As for the grov comment, I really couldn't pick out any smoke flavor notes. I mean, I LOVE the smoke flavor behind beech nut chew, or a tin of dip. I could not pick out the slightest smoke flavor in grov. I'm telling you guys maybe it was a bad can (but wasn't expired) but this stuff literally smelled like table vinager 0_o and the taste was just bad......acidic as mentioned is a decent wat to describe some of its notes....but not in a smoke way

My first try with Ettan was a fruit taste after the tobacco flavor! Tastes change, don't they.......and our taste buds learn and develop.

From my first impressions: "Ettan op nice, the taste after the tobacco reminds me of fruit, mostly through the first can now and it has become my favorite so far, light cocoa and smoke taste and not fruity, after a while the cocoa taste is too much, looking for more of a straight tobacco flavor......."
